The JAS 150 Digital Airborne Scanner
Gerald Albe ASPRS Conference 2007
Jena Airborne Scanner (JAS) Advanced Linescanner Design
… for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing:
» Resolution 5cm (2 inches) from 1000m flight altitude within reasonable airspeeds » Up to 3cm (1.2 inch) geo-location accuracy » All multi-spectral bands in full resolution » Compatible with existing peripherals and platforms •Nine CCD lines are scanning the surface.
•Multi-spectral Bands: RGB and NIR •Four stereo lines and nadir avoid blind spots especially in cities.

Currently a study is performed to show the accuracy of the system. Testflights were conducted over the German cities Colognw and Jena, pass and control points were measured by own staff. Later on it is planned to show the accuracy over a test field of the university of Stuttgart.

JAS Advantages for our Customers
Highest resolutions, highest accuracy ensure competitiveness for the next 10 years.
The total cost of ownership are considerable lower because of the easy and robust design.
The JAS150 is compatible to the most used peripherals.
The pushbroom scanner design with its near-orthogonal view allows cost-effective capturing of Orthophotos and near true Orthophotos as well as capturing all multispectral bands in full resolution for remote sensing applications.
