• NG is a daughter company of Nafta
Lendava, with extensive experience in
exploration of underground resources
since 1945;
• Located in north-eastern Slovenia rich
with geothermal energy potential
• A key player for the further development
of geothermal field in this part of central &
eastern Europe

• A lot of potential for direct use, especially northeastern part of Slovenia – 45 MWt installed at 27
locations
• GSHP installed – 2,33 MWt
• GHP installed – 3,94 MWt
• Geothermal system utilization increased
substantially in last three years (no official data
available yet)

Unexploited potential
• System based on district heating with high peak
loads
• Energy potential not used in summer periods
• Wasted water temperature: up to 40ºC
• With the use of special high temperature GHP the
installed power could be doubled!

• Goal: to develop a high power (over 250kW) high
temperature (up to 80ºC) GHP for exploitation of low
temperature (up to 40ºC) geothermal sources

• Development of geothermal systems in the areas with
lower gradient
