His house is ¾ miles away. Before he goes home he

• Noah is looking at two different colleges to be a business
major. University of Houston is a good school, it has 30,000

college he likes. Out of the 10,000 students 8,000 are from
California.

• Eduardo’s soccer team won a big game. After the
game his coach orders pizza to celebrate. 10
players share 5 large pizzas(8 slices in a large
pizza). The pizza is shared equally among the team
players.

hungry so he only eats 50% of what he is given.

• Sidney and Alicia played basketball with their two
buddies. After the basketball game, Jessica invited
her friends over to hang out. They were thirsty, so
she served them some fruit punch that she made
earlier. The other two girls both drank 1 cup of
punch. Alicia drank 1 5/8 cups of punch and Jess had
2 ¼ to quench her thirst. Sidney started off with 8
cups of punch, how much was left after everyone

• Bria traveled to Miami in August for a Chris Brown
concert. Her mom arranged everything as a gift for
being a great daughter. She got the airport 1 ½
hours earlier than her flight was scheduled. The
flight from Houston to Miami, Florida took 2 ½
hours. She arrived in Florida at 6PM. What time did
Mia get to Houston airport.
• The travel agent that helped plan the trip told Bria’s
mom to drive 9 ¼ miles from the airport to the
hotel, but it only took 6 ¾ miles. , how much closer
was it than they thought it would be?

• Breanna baked a cake to share with her 2 sisters. She
added eggs, flour and 5/8 cup of water and stirred.
Then she added oil, sugar and another ¾ cup of
water. The cake came out great and Breanna and her
sisters ate all 6 pieces that same day.

• Devon had to take his car to the shop to be
repaired. He had to pay $430 for parts and

local company. The total cost of the t-shirts
was $264. There was a $120 set up fee and
