NIMS Proposed DRAFT Metrics
 Seven implementation activities transition from FY 2007
Tier 2 to FY 2008 Tier 1 status:
 Coordinate and deliver NIMS training.
 ICS-300 required by appropriate Tribal personnel identified by the
Tribal Implementation Plan.
 ICS-400 required by appropriate Tribal personnel identified by the
Tribal Implementation Plan.
 Utilize resources inventory for intrastate and interstate mutual aid
requests, incorporate into training, exercises, and incident/planned
event response.
 Utilize Multi-Agency Coordination System (MACS) principles where
applicable.
 Ensure Tribal integration into a Joint Information System (JIS) and a
Joint Information Center (JIC)] during an incident/planned event
 Ensure that Tribal Public Information procedures and processes can
gather, verify, coordinate, and disseminate information during an
incident/planned event.
In FY 2008 there are 15 new Tier 2
implementation activities
 These activities will assist the IMSD to determine
whether the Tier 2 activities are realistic and
achievable as Tier 1 implementation activities for
future years.
