Planning to create a wiki for your learning environment
•What is the purpose of the wiki?
•Who is the audience for your wiki?
•What is the name of your wiki?
•What headings would you use for your content?
•How will you promote this wiki to your audience?
•How will you find out if the wiki is effective?
Wikis – 3 things to remember
• Audience - When developing a blog or wiki,
establishing the purpose and audience is
essential
• Excitement and inspiration - Staff have been both
excited, inspired and challenged by Web 2.0
technologies
• Empowerment - A constantly evolving
technological environment provides staff learning
opportunities and improved learning outcomes for
all
