What is Misconduct?

Misconduct definition
Misconduct \ verb 1: behave in an
improper manner \ noun 2: deliberate
violation of a law or standard of conduct
Misconduct can occur anytime, anywhere,
and be against anyone
• “Anywhere” includes team areas, stands,
and parking lots
• “Anyone” includes an opponent, teammate,
referee, spectator, or any other person

Types of Misconduct
• Does not require a foul to have been
committed
• If DFK foul was committed - foul was
Reckl
ess or Excessive – Restart???
Reckless
• Stoppage without a DFK foul - must
restart with a IFK
• If play is not stopped - the card must
be issued at the next stoppage or not
at all

7 CAUTIONABLE OFFENSES
A player is cautioned and shown the yellow card
if he/she commits any of the following seven
offenses:
1. Unsporting behavior (UB)

Persistently infringes the Laws of the Game (PI)
Delays the restart of play (DR)
Fails to yield 10 yards on corner/ free kick (FRD)

if he or she commits one of the following 7 offences:
