Oil Cleaning Centrifuge
What is Spin-Clean?
A true centrifuge that, when sized properly, will
remove the dense wear abrasives from oil down to
below 1 micron
Will not use more than 10% of engine oil pump output
at any given time
The centrifuge removes the solids from the engine oil
using centrifugal force – 1000 G’s
Significantly reduces engine wear, sludge build-up, &
acid formation
How it works
Pressurized oil enters Spin-Clean
on bottom right. (Inlet)
Oil enters into turbine, begins to
fill, and pressurizes.
Oil exits out of the two nozzles
at the bottom of the turbine at a
very high velocity, thus causing
the turbine to spin.
As the oil exits the shaft in the
turbine bowl the solid particles
are whipped against the inner
wall of the bowl at a high rate of
speed.
Solid particles down to below 1
micron are captured on the
inside wall of the turbine bowl
creating a dense cake-like solid.
Clean oil exits the centrifuge into
the engine sump.
Why Spin-Clean?
Engine manufactures install full-flow filters
that only remove particles from the oil down to
20-25 micron
Increase the interval between oil/filter changes
Significantly increase engine life
Go Green – better for the environment
Serves as a diagnostic tool

-Sizing Chart
Sizing Notes
Spin-Clean uses 10% of the oil sump capacity at any
given time.
The volume of oil in the system may be used to
determine the type and number of centrifuges to be
fitted.
A centrifuge should be specified to ensure that the
total crankcase oil capacity passes through the
centrifuge(s), no less than four times in an hour.
The optimum oil inlet pressure for a centrifuge ranges
from 60 to 80 psi, but units can be operated at a
maximum of 100 psi or a minimum of 30 psi.
Sizing Example
30 Gal Sump
-Turned 4 times per hour
-Requires Centrifuge capable of turning 120 Gal per
hour (30 x 4 = 120 Gal)
Model 75 – 60 GPH / 30 Gal = 2 turns per hour
Model 150 – 120 GPH / 30 Gal = 4 turns per hour
Model 300 – 240 GPH / 30 Gal = 8 turns per hour

Installation
Due to different field applications, different engine
sizes, and other unforeseen circumstances we offer
several installation options. All originate from these
two methods.
-Gravity drain
Spin-Clean is mounted higher than the crankcase – Gravity
forces oil to drain from Spin-Clean down to engine crankcase.
-Oil Control Base (OCB)
This option is used if the Spin-Clean is mounted below the
engine crankcase. Compressed air (.02 SCFM) is used to
pressurize the Spin-Clean unit sending oil back up to the
crankcase.
