IFS Plant Design System Coordinator (new position)
Background for and description of the position:
As a consequence of solid growth in the company Hamworthy Gas Systems AS is in the process of revising internal tools,
methods and procedures. This work has included implementing a new ERP system, IFS.
The database module IFS Plant Design is now the company’s most important engineering tool along with the system design
tool Autoplant. This autumn integration will be established between Plant Design and Autoplant. The integration is
produced by IFS and Bentley, while the engineering framework is produced by IFS superusers in HGS.
To achieve and maintain efficient and correct use of the new system, the position System Coordinator IFS Plant
Design is established. This is a 100% employment with long-term career possibilities.
The coordinator role is a managing role, while superusers are the support link between system management and the
users.
The System Coordinator will belong in Technical Department, cooperating with a variety of the company’s professionals
throughout. He or she will manage own time and have the possibility to define the coordinator role, as well as have
impact on HGS' work processes.

IFS Plant Design System Coordiantor (new position)
Responsibility:

Drive forward and document solutions where company methods and Plant Design structure require adjustments.

Drive forward and maintain uniform methodology in Plant Design with the support of superusers from Technical
Department.

Ensure uniform system/method for data exchange between IFS Plant Design and interfacing IFS modules.

Ensure uniform system/method for data exchange between IFS Plant Design and Autoplant, and coordinate
superusers/expertise within the two software packages.

Responsible for planning and carrying out training and workshops in IFS Plant Design.

Recruit and train superusers in Plant Design.

Coordinate and follow-up the superusers’ areas of responsibility, building the superuser team. Ensure that superusers in
IFS Plant Design uses same methodology, structure and utilisation of the system.

Follow-up of Plant Design towards supplier (IFS).
Qualifications and personality:
The person to fill this position should have a higher technical education (engineering or IT) and an interest in and experience
with database structure. He or she should have a general knowledge of work processes within engineering, be solution
oriented, with ability to see both details and the broad picture. The ideal person is a strong communicator, organized and
systematic, with excellent social skills.

Senior Design Engineer
Typical project tasks:
As a senior designer you will perform 3D design of LNG/LPG
process plants for ship- and onshore facilities. This may
involve design of skids as well as larger modules or
plants. You will also be involved in follow up of supplier
and customers; sometimes on site in other parts of the
world. You are also expected to take part in the
development of internal standards, methods and
procedures for the discipline.
Qualifications:

Higher technical education (e.g. Bachelor or Master
degree)

Experience from medium to large projects in maritime/
oil and gas/ process industry.

Experience with common 3D software.

Fluent English, oral and written.
Senior Pipe Stress Engineer
Typical project tasks:
As a senior pipe stress engineer you will be in charge of pipe
stress and flexibility analysis of pipe systems for LNG/LPG
process plants for ship- and onshore installations. You will
develop good design solutions in close cooperation with
the designers and assist in development of pipe support
standards, methods and procedures for the discipline.
Qualifications:

Higher technical education (e.g. Bachelor or Master
degree)

Experience from medium to large projects in maritime/ oil
and gas/ process industry.

Experience with common software for pipe stress and
flexibility analysis.


Process

Typical project tasks:

Process simulations and calculations for gas plants (LNG,LPG) for ships, offshore (FPSO) and onshore facilities.

Preparation of Piping & Instruments Diagrams.

Development and improvements on new and existing products.

Participation in projects, studies and bids, and possibly also in business development.

Participation in development of company tools and procedures.
Qualifications:

Higher relevant education (Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree).

Interest and experience with gas/ oil/ petrochemical/ refinery business. Background and experience with ships
operations / ship building (Gas, Chemicals) is of interest.

Knowledge and interest within one or more of the following: Cooling processes, gas treatment, fractioning, cryogenic
storage, process control systems, flow and export systems.

Minimum 5 years experience for Senior Process Engineer. Graduates will also be considered for Process Engineer.


Technical Safety
Technical Safety Coordinator (new position)
Description and responsibility:
The Technical Safety Coordinator will belong in the Process discipline in Technical Department, and will be involved at
management level in all our projects. He or she will to a great extent manage own time and have the possibility to define
the Technical Safety Coordinator role, as well as have impact on HGS' internal standards and work processes.
Responsibility includes management, follow up and quality control of safety related tasks during project execution, from
defining project requirements to performing HAZOP and HAZID.
The person in this position will work closely with our QA/EHS department and with our project managers to establish company
and project procedures within technical safety. An additional purpose of the position is to educate our technical
organization on technical safety in engineering and process design – make us better.
Qualifications:

Higher technical education (M.Sc, PhD if possible)

At least 5 years experience from oil and gas related business

Experience from HAZOP (at least participation level)

Fluent English, oral and written.

Environmental Specialist
(New position)
We at Hamworthy Gas Systems know that our products have positive environmental impact in the energy industry. What we
lack is the environmental expertise to examine just how our products compare in the market, and to help us develop our
technology to further minimize environmental impact.
Hamworthy Gas Systems is OHSAS 18001 certified, and in the process of ISO 14001 certification.
Work description:

Perform environmental consequence analyses/ environmental impact studies on company products.

Provide environmental accounts for input to Business Development units and Marketing.

Analyze international regulations and agreements for input to Business Development units.

Participate in relevant environmental forums and conferences.

Influence the company to ensure further development of environmentally friendly technology.

Contribute to Marketing.
Qualifications:

Higher relevant education and at least 5 years of relevant experience

