Vladimir State University • Vladimir State University includes several faculties • One of them is the Faculty of Radiophysics, Electronics and Biomedical Engineering, which has Biomedical Engineering Department. Specialties: «Biotechnical and medical devices and systems» - on “Instrument making” department «Engineering in biomedical practice» - on “Radio engineering & radiosystems” department. 2002 - Biomedical Engineering department was founded. Goal: more effective organization of educational process on these specialties and further development of a medicaltechnical direction 2 educational laboratories, research laboratory, lectureroom were created. Material base • Today BME Dpt. has the modern labware, • - computer facilities and software. Besides the department has branches in: Regional Clinical Hospital, Regional Cancer Medical Center, Regional centre of laser medicine and surgery, State establishment of the Vladimir region “MEDTECHNICA”. Lesson at the Regional clinical hospital Additional professional education • The students of BME department have an opportunity simultaneously to train in the Vladimir Basic Medical College and to receive the diploma on a specialty “Nurse” Cooperation - - The BME department cooperates with: foreign and Russian universities having the scientific-educational biomedical engineering programs; Vladimir Region Healthcare Department and Healthcare municipal department; the main medical centers of Vladimir and Vladimir Region; medical colleges of the Vladimir Region.
