History of the BME Department

1994 - preparation of specialists in medical-technical profile
was opened.
Specialties:
«Biotechnical and medical devices and systems» - on
“Instrument making” department
«Engineering in biomedical practice» - on “Radio
engineering & radiosystems” department.
2002 - Biomedical Engineering department was founded.
Goal: more effective organization of educational process on
these specialties and further development of a medicaltechnical direction
2 educational laboratories, research laboratory, lectureroom were created.

• Today BME Dpt. has the modern labware,

computer facilities and software.
Besides the department has branches in:
Regional Clinical Hospital,
Regional Cancer Medical Center,
Regional centre of laser medicine and surgery,
State establishment of the Vladimir region
“MEDTECHNICA”.
