About EDCTP
• Partnership between European member states,
European Commission and Africa in collaboration
with like minded organisations in fighting diseases of
poverty – HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis
• This is realised by funding clinical trials and research
capacity to accelerate development of intervention
tools including drugs, vaccines, microbicides and
diagnostics against these diseases
