The industry is undergoing technological change. The major players are expanding their plants and focusing on mass customization, mass production, etc. STRENGTHS: Only one Self Power Electric Vehicle in the market Investment by foreign car manufacture Increase in the export levels Low cost and cheap labour Rise in the working and middle class income Increasing demand for Worldwide quality Large pool of engineers Expert skill in producing small cars-good for environment. WEAKNESS: Low quality compared to other automotive countries Low labour productivity High interest rate and overhead level Production cost are generally higher than some other Asian states, such as china Low investment in R&D area Local demand is still towards low cost vehicles, due to low income levels SWOT OPPORTUNITIES: Self Power Electric Vehicle No Electricity Charging Growing population in the country Rising living standard Increase in income level Rising rural demand The car is a status symbol Women drivers have increased THREATS: Less skilled labour Competitors copy our technology Lack of technologies for LGN Companies Increase in the import tariff and technology cost Smaller players that do not fulfil international standards Increased congestion in the urban areas EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Name of our Company is “LGN” and our Tag Line is “Self Power". As we seen from the above slides Automobile Industry is a booming and therefore we decided to enter the Industry with the following Objectives:- 1 2 3 • To provide the customer with the highest quality vehicles, at lowest possible cost, in a timely manner with the shortest possible lead times. • To provide members with work satisfaction, job security and fair treatment. • It gives the company flexibility to respond to the market, achieve profit through cost reduction activities and long-term prosperity. VISION & MISSION STATEMENTS VISION:“Delight our customers through innovative products, by utilising advanced technologies and services.” Mission:“ Enriching People's Life.” RANGE OF PRODUCTS At LGN we offer Self Power Electric Cars and they are categorized as under:- Classes Of Car Hatch Back Sedan SPEV 3i SPEV 3GTi SPEV 5i SEV5GTi PRODUCT SPECIFICATION Technical Specifications: Electric Power: 65,000 Watt hour Horse Power: 320 Torque: Up to 300 lbs-ft Electricity: Self Power Generator Steering type: Electric Power Steering Motor: 300 kW Heating & Air Conditioning: Electric Driving Distant: Unlimited. Customer demand stimulates production of a vehicle. In turn the production of the vehicle stimulates production and delivery of the necessary parts and so on. The result is that the right parts and materials are manufactured and provided in the exact amount needed - and when and where they are needed. Under “just in time” the ultimate arbiter is always the customer. Lives for the absolute elimination of waste, overburden and unevenness in all areas to allow members to work smoothly and efficiently The foundations are built on standardisation to ensure a safe method of operation and a consistent approach to quality. This improves their standard processes and procedures in order to ensure maximum quality, improve efficiency and eliminate waste. This is known as kaizen and is applied to every sphere of the company's activities. Continuing • Engineers draw basic models using computer graphics. • Clay models are made to be studied by experts and engineers • Model is reviewed and feasibility is tested • Tools to be used for manufacture are developed • Car components are purchased from suppliers and assembled in assembly shop • A frame is placed on the assembly line and clamped to the conveyor • Automobile frame moves to component assembly area. • Front & rear suspensions, rear axles and drive shafts, gear boxes, steering box components, wheel drums and braking systems are sequentially installed • 60 kWh microprocessor controlled • The vehicle’s motor mates with its rear axles • Robots weld the floor pan pieces together • The shell of the vehicle is built as the floor pan moves down the assembly line. • Once the body shell is completed, it is attached to an overhead conveyor for painting and inspection. • Subsequent body components including fully assembled doors, deck lids, hood panel, fenders, trunk lid and bumper reinforcements are installed. • Complete inspection is done and the body is sent for final painting • After the final coat of paint, the shell is carried by a conveyor through baking ovens where the paint is cured at 275 degrees Fahrenheit (135 degree Celsius) • The painted shell moves through the internal assembly area for instrumentation, wiring systems, dash panels, interior lights and other internal components • The chassis passes the body conveyor and the shell is lifted robotically from its conveyor fixtures and placed onto the car frame. • The car body is bolted to the frame. • The automobile proceeds down the line to receive final trim components, battery, tires, anti freeze and gasoline. • The vehicle is driven to a checkpoint where its motor, lights, horn, electrical system and tires are audited.
