compliance with the Directive 2000/59 EC
and National legislation
 Float Separator for oil waste treatment
 Innovative reception network system for
ships generated sewage
 Wastes of used mineral oils and lubricants
are managed through an appropriate and
authorised Collection Contractor

Water quality
 Has been established a comprehensive
monitoring programme for the seawater
quality (in cooperation with Universities of
Piraeus and Cardiff)
 Studies on the quality of sediments and the
management of dredging materials has been
elaborated
 Participation in a new Project (in
coordination with NTUA) regarding the
Management
Assessment
of
Polluted
Sediments

 Monitoring programmes for air and acoustic
environment quality have been established (in
cooperation with Aristoteleio University of

cooperation to pollution incidents by
hazardous and noxious substances (HNS,
2000).
