Virtual Media – How does it work?
 During a KVM connection, user requests a virtual media
connection to a CD drive
 The KX II creates a “virtual connection” between the CD drive to
a “virtual drive” on the target server
 The “virtual drive” is mounted on the target server through the
server’s USB port
 The CD drive appears on the target server as a USB connected
drive
 The user can use the “virtual drive” from the server’s OS
