Senior
Experience
What is the Senior Experience
(SE)?
A 25 Hour Community Service (service
learning) project centered around a Career or
Personal Focus
Examples:
– Graffiti has been deteriorating our neighborhoods
and the police guild has requested help. You apply
for a grant and organize a group effort to remove
the graffiti. (Career Focus: Law Enforcement)
– A family member has been struck with cancer and
you lead a team to raise money for the Relay for
Life (Personal Focus)
What are the parameters?
All SEs must be approved by your parents
and advisor. Final approval will be made by
the Project ME Evaluators.
All projects must comply by Federal/State
Law and by the policies and procedures of
the Aberdeen School District
AHS is not responsible for any cost incurred
with your SE. Students are encouraged to
seek grants or other funding.
The PM Board has the right to reject any SE
that is judged to be unsafe.
