Educate through seminar, training & classes the need to keep track and practice the proper accounting standard and procedure. Government should form a special committee to monitor actions of firm

In terms of auditor:

Government helps in financing the cost of hiring auditor .e.g. paying half the salary of the auditor or government can provide their own auditor to firms.

 When Seri Pekatan was opened back in 1998, there was only two workers that are employed.

 When Seri Pekatan opened its own factory in Lambak in 2001, there was a positive increase in the human resources.

 Now there are almost 50 employees under Seri Pekatan Sdn Bhd.

 Most workers that are employed are foreign workers.

SOLUTIONS The locals must change their perspectives in terms of job employment.

They also need to improve their productivity.

Corporate Social Responsibilities

What is CSR • Corporate social responsibility encompasses not only what companies do with their profits, but also how they make them. Why it is important?

• To show to the society and the stakeholders that they not only making profits but also to show their concerns to the society as a whole.

Examples • HSBC presents cash donations to the charity organisations.(Pusat Ehsan, SMARTER Brunei, and the Learning Ladder Society)

Pricing Strategy • Demand – since demand for prawn crackers are higher than other, so the price are quite expensive.

• Cost of producing – they try to cut out some costs by using machineries more then labors for the long-term benefit.

MARKETING STRATEGY PROBLEMS: • hard to find trusted distributers.

• ineffectiveness in promoting the products. • seeing a lot of visitors, but not a lot of buyers. • compete with the foreign products.

SOLUTIONS: • make contracts with the distributers.

• be more effective in promoting the product-use more technology.
