The Dynamic of Pioneering
For J.M.T. Pvt. Ltd. it began with the right
attitude, initiative foresight and sensitivity
to a changing environment. Hence the
company gave India its first quality PVC
Sheet. The success of these product
encouraged the company to introduce a
host of others: Polystyrene Sheet, High
impact Polystyrene sheet, Rigid PVC sheet,
PVC Blister, High density Polyester. Each

PVC Strip Curtain (Standard Grade)

HIM STRIP™ is a transparent soft
PVC material having outstanding
see-through qualities which allow
light to pass-through with
minimum distortion but does not
allow harmful ultra violet rays to
enter. HIM STRIP™ offers a
range of flexible PVC Doors also
commonly known as PVC Strip
Doors, PVC Strip Curtain, &
Dust Curtain for commercial and
industrial applications designed to
suit the prevailing weather
conditions. These doors can be
designed by using light weight
HIM STRIP™ PVC strip with a
small overlap for internal
pedestrian doors to heavy grade
HIM STRIP™ with maximum
overlap for the most exposed
doorways.

WELDING GRADE
Welding flash is dangerous to
unprotected eyes. Dark green
self extinguishing strips has long
proved its ability to eliminate
harmful ultraviolet transmission
but still allow vision in and out
of the welding area.
Now for the first time in India,
bronze welding HIM STRIPSTM
is available as well. This will cut
out 99% of UV transmission but
its near transparency allows
almost the entire light spectrum
by giving excellent two-way
vision. Welding bronze is
particularly recommended when
maximum visibility is needed for
safety and supervision reasons.

FREEZER GRADE

Cold Storage Doors:
HIM STRIPSTM Cold storage
doors are now part of
industrial screen. Their ability
to cut heat loss for busy
external doorways by up to
75% makes them a
tremendous investment. For
factories, warehouses or
office operating airconditioning in warm weather,
the curtain provides a double
benefit continuing to save
energy by keeping the
temperature right.

Polar 'PU' Strips :
With the cost of producing
cold higher than that of
producing heat, energy
saving doorway curtain to
refrigerated area can
rapidly pay for themselves.
We supply a special grade

with low temperature PU
that can go down to minus
40°C.

PP CORRUGATED SHEETS

HIM PAC® sheets are made from
Impact Co-polymer of
Polypropylene. It is an extruded
hollow profile consisting of two
flat walls connected by vertical
ribs.
HIM PAC® sheets are strong,
light weight, water proof,
chemical proof, vermin proof, and
food grade. It can be fabricated
easily using paper board
converting machineries. The
sheets are corona treated on both
sides and has good printability.
The salient feature of the sheets
make it suitable for wide range of
uses. Advertising, Packaging,
Material Handling and
Protectection, Stationery,
Construction & Interiors are few
to mention.

HIM®STRENE
HI IMPACT POLYSTYRENE SHEETS

These contain a small
amount of rubber which
improves the materials impact
and high temperature
resistance. Products
manufactured from this
material can have excellent
surface finish ideally suited to
printing.
Hip Sheets are available in
thickness ranging from 0.5
mm to 6 mm in various colors
like natural, ice blue and light
beige.

• Polystyrene can be used down to temperatures just below this
range (70°C) PS can also be used at low temperatures down to
70°C.

PROPERTIES















Electrical Properties
Good electrical resistance values that are virtually independent of the moisture content. PS shows a marked tendency
to form electrostatic charges - the old style PS rulers can be used to demonstrate static electricity with small pieces of
paper, the classic demonstration.
Optical Properties
The transparent types of standard polystyrene have a light transmission of about 90 in the visible range. Absorption
increases considerably in the UV range. The refractive index is 1.59.
Resistance to weathering
PS is not recommended for long-term use in the open air as it is degraded by UV rays. This is reflected in yellowing and
loss of surface gloss and by a decrease in mechanical strength. Darker formulations perform better than pale or
transparent types.
Surface treatment
Printing, lacquering and hot stamping are all possible. PS can be given a mirror finish with a metallic gloss by highvacuum metallizing with a clear lacquer applied for protection.
Welding
Ultrasonic welding is normally used. High strengths can be achieved with impulse welding. HF welding is not suitable.
Bonding
Only parts of the same type can be bonded together. Solvent adhesives such as toluene or methylene chloride are
normally used. Impact adhesives are used for bonding with different materials.
Health & Safety
PS is physiologically safe.
