EMRP-Symposium Measurements for Life Science Programme Thursday, July 3rd 2008, Begin:11:00 Tour d‘Horizon • Ultrasound Contrast Markers G. Schmitz, Bochum To whom it may concern • members of the EURAMET Focus Group ”Metrology for Life Science“ • researchers of the running EMRP Joint Research Projects • anyone interested to participate in future EMRP projects in this field Scope and Aim The first day with its character of a Summer School will introduce fascinating R&D activities where future metrology could become involved. Thus the presentations should serve as an inspiration for extending the frontiers of metrology. The second day – the bread and butter day – will start with an up-to-date information on the ongoing process of implementing the EMRP in order to get prepared for the next EMRP calls. In the following break-out sessions the individual running Joint Research Projects will meet separately and it is up to the JRP coordinators to organise those sessions. Finally a forum will analyse how we got started and what may be learned from each other. In summary: This symposium should improve the cohesion among the ”Metrology for Health“-community. • PET G.-J.
