proceed into the listed places or areas, or
may refuse to grant cover altogether.

Notes
This presentation has been designed by Marsh after thorough review of the Joint War
Committee circular JWLA015, 2nd August 2010.
The Joint War Committee in London has issued revisions to the list of countries and
waters that they consider pose enhanced risk to Hull War Risk underwriters. The list was
last altered on 9th June 2010 (JWLA014).

Named Countries shall include their coastal waters up to 12 nautical miles offshore,
unless specifically varied above
Named Ports shall include all facilities/terminals within areas controlled by the relevant
port authorities (or as may be more precisely defined by Insurers) including offshore
terminals/facilities, and all waters within 12 nautical miles of such but not exceeding 12
nautical miles offshore unless specifically stated.
The diagrams shown herein are ONLY for general understanding of the JWLA015 version
of listed areas and should not be relied upon for geographical accuracy, which MUST be
checked against proper nautical/Admiralty charts. Before acting on the information
