LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance)

Program: (Partnership with HELCO) low income individuals and families receive energy credits to defray costs on electricity bill  Photovoltaic Installation by Greenpower Solutions (employer): conversion to solar for low-income families. (Employer utilizes trainees to do installations) 

Employer Customized Training

    Via Hawaii Community College: Numerous employers have designed customized training for its employees Various software computer programs Management and supervisory training Various “green” training  

Hawaii First Federal Credit Union (Resource Centers)

Offers Individual Development Accounts (4 to 1 financial match) for eligible participants  

Entrepreneurs Expos

Financial institutions, employers, Small Business Development Center support current employees and unemployed job seekers with self employment options to enhance asset building
