Present Perfect Continuous
Present Perfect Simple: Uses
Past actions which affect the present.
Example: I’ve washed up so I can rest.
 Actions that started in the past and
continue in the present.
Example: I’ve lived in Gandia since three
years ago.
 Actions occurred in the past without
specifying when they happened.
Example: I’ve visited five countries lately.

Recent past actions.
Example: I’ve just finished my homework.
 Personal experiences.
Example: I’ve never seen a ghost.

Present Perfect Simple:Time clauses
For:
Example: I’ve lived there for three years.
 Since:
Example:I’ve lived there since 1993.
 Just:
Example: I’ve just finished my English
test.


Already:
Example: They’ve already discovered the
hidden message.

Lately/Recently:
Example: Have you phone me lately?
Has Pepe talked to you recently?

Never:Example: I’ve never been to Russia

Yet:Example: I haven’t broken my arm yet.
Has the film started yet?

Ever:
Example: Have you ever sent any hidden
message?
Several times:
Example: I’ve flown in a plane several
times.

Present Perfect Simple:Structure
Affirmative form:
-have/ has + past participle
 Negative form:
-have/ has + not + past participle
 Interrogative form:
-have/has + pronoun + past participle… ?


Actions that began in the past and still
continue.
Example: I’ve been using this password
for years..
 Recent actions whose effects are seen
now
Example: I’m tired. I have been cooking
for two hours.

