BASIC RULES
 Come
prepared for class and ready to learn
 Be on time to class.
 Be respectful to everyone.
 Take responsibility for you schoolwork and
your actions.
 Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
 Always try your best!!
CELL PHONE POLICY
Phones are to be PUT AWAY in
your backpack or in your
designated phone slot during
class.
 The ONLY time you are to have
your phone out is when you
have my permission.
 WHY?? You are here to
LEARN. Learning to be away
from your cell phone is an
important skill to master in the
21st century. In addition, it is
rude, and learning manners is
also important.

CONSEQUENCES
Cell phones – If I see you with your cell phone at
an inappropriate time you will first receive a
warning, and second, it will be confiscated and you
will be written up.
**If I see you using a cell phone CAMERA,
you will immediately be written up.
 Late to class – you will lose class participation
points each time you have an unexcused absence.
If you are late four times you will be written up.
 Disrespect –Any form of blatant disrespect
toward myself or your peers, bullying towards your
peers, or defiance toward myself will result in loss
of class participation points and an IMMEDIATE
write-up.

CLASS PARTICIPATION
My theory – class participation in my book does not
mean how many times you raise your hand during
class.
 If you come to class on time, do what you are
supposed to do, and follow the rules you will
receive full class participation points.
 If you are written up you will receive ZERO class
participation points for the day.
 Keep in mind, by the end of the marking period the
points add up and will either help or hurt your
grade.
 Amount – you will receive three points a day.

1 point – being on time.
 1 point – following directions/ daily class procedure
 1 point – following rules.

LATE/MAKE-UP WORK
If you are absent you are responsible for making sure
that you get “caught up” with notes and homework as
soon as possible. I will NOT track you down to give you
missing work.
 You can e-mail your work to me if you are absent.
