Path Forward
OEC is charged with supporting the Secretary of Homeland
Security in her role as a member of the FirstNet Board
OEC will continue to bring together stakeholders in all
disciplines and at all levels of government to share guidance,
best-practices, and lessons learned
Including existing Federal, State, Tribal, local, and private
infrastructure into the planning and deployment of the PSBN will
allow wider deployment and a more resilient network
Building a nationwide public safety broadband network will
require commitment and resources unlike any other public
safety effort before, but it has the potential to deliver capability
unlike any other system or resource.
