Missionary Programs • Global Ministries Missionary • Church & Community Worker (CCW) • Mission Intern • US-2 • National Plan for Hispanic/Latino Ministries • International Persons in Mission and Persons in Mission in Own Country (PIM) Missionaries available for Covenant Relationships with Central Texas Conference Churches Mark & Diane Abbott Spain Willie Berman Mexico David & Cindy Ceballos Panama Rukang & Fresie Chikomb Southern Congo Dieudonne Karihano Africa Eumin & Prumeh Kim Kazakhstan Janet Lahr Lewis Israel/Palestine Bill & Hellen Lovelace Lithuania Tendai Paul Manyeza Zimbabwe Gaston & Jeanne Ntambo Northern Congo Carol Partridge Macedonia Alejandro Rodriguez & Carmen Melendez Mexico Meredith Whitaker Oklahoma • Mark is professor of New Testament in the United Evangelical Theological Seminary and serves as pastor of the English-speaking Community Church of Madrid • Diane does materials production, translations and secretarial back-up at United Evangelical Theological Seminary, • Mark & Diane have 3 children • Serves at Methodist Border Ministry, based in Reynosa, Mexico • As a Mission Coordinator, he works with VIM Teams from the United States • Some of the new ministries started in the communities with work teams: sewing classes, wood-working shops, medical clinics, scholarship programs, construction of houses/schools • Willie & his wife, Veronica, have two young children • Serve in Punta Delgadita, Panama • David is a church developer with the Evangelical Methodist Church of Panama and provides leadership in evangelism, education and social outreach. • Cindy serves as a Community Health Coordinator for a ministry linked to an emerging church. • They have served previously in Honduras and Spain before being assigned to Panama. • David & Cindy are the parents of six adult children. • Rukang is assigned as director of Southern Congo Wings of the Morning Aviation Ministry. They provide transportation for hospitals, educators, mission teams, church leaders and other mission needs. • Fresie assists with management at the Jamaa Letu Boys’ Orphanage, and the Aviation Ministry where she helps with flight safety training, financial accountability, freight management, patient support, and the welfare of employees. • They have 3 children. • He currently teaches agriculture in a vocational school and seminary and oversees food production for an orphanage and boarding hostels along with his other duties. • As a child, Dieudonne was influenced by missionaries and mission activities in his village. He particularly enjoyed summer programs (VBS) as well as a Saturday morning program where the children were encouraged to memorize and recite Bible verses. • Serve at United Methodist Mission Center in Almaty, Kazakhstan. • The Mission Center in Almaty plays a pivotal role in Central Asia Mission Initiative. This initiative began in 2003 and by 2011 had 19 congregations for Bible groups in 4 0f 5 Central Asia Republics, once part of the Soviet Union. Prumeh and Eumin • They have two children. • Serves in the Middle East as liaison between ecumenical groups, Israel and Palestine. • Focusing on advocacy and activism, she is the main contact for VIM teams and United Methodist visitors who wish to spend a significant amount of time in the area with local Christians. • She educates visitors about the realities of the situation, organized conferences, develops media campaigns, offers worship opportunities and host delegations. • Janet has 3 adult children. • Bill serves as District Superintendent and pastor in Lithuania. • Helen, also a pastor, serves the Lithuania United Methodist Church. She mentors and assists church related children’s and family centers. • Lithuania is a mission initiative of Global Ministries where Methodism has been reestablished following the fall of the Soviet Union. There are currently 11 United Methodist congregations and an increasing number of preaching points. • Dr. Tendai Manyeza, MD, is Administrator and Chief Medical Officer for Old Mutare Mission Hospital of the United Methodist Church in Mutare, Zimbabwe. • "I am in the healing ministry because God has a purpose for me in that ministry. I believe I am still operating in God's plan by responding to this call to mission. I shall do my best to serve my God and all people he assigns me to serve.“ • Tendai and his wife, who is completing her theological training at Africa University, are the parents of four children. • They are assigned to the Democratic Republic of Congo based in Luena. • Gaston serves as pilot and mechanic with the Wings of the Morning Aviation Ministry. • Jeanne serves as radio operator for there are no traffic controllers or weather reporting stations in many of the areas they serve. • The aviation ministry provides transportation in hard-to-reach areas of Africa, especially in emergency situations. • They have 5 children. • Assigned to the United Methodist Church of Macedonia as Director of Christian Education, working with all 13 congregations in Macedonia. • Responsibilities include development of Sunday school materials, training teachers and youth group leaders, teaching Bible classes and English classes and organizing summer programs. • Helps with classes and seminars for women on such topics as health and wholeness and leadership development, and with ecumenical activities like World Day of Prayer. • Alejandro serves as Program Director of Give Ye Them To Eat, a ministry of the Methodist Church of Mexico, in the state of Pueblo. • Carmen serves as Director of Training, Promotion and Interpretation of Give Ye Them to Eat ministry. Alejandro & Carmen • They have 3 daughters. • Serves the church and community as Director of Cookson Hills Center United Methodist Mission, a mission project to the Cherokee Indians in Cookson Hills, OK. • Works to develop programs that will help the people of this very poor area find ways to live within their means. Along with her staff, she administers a large Senior Citizens Nutrition Program, which includes lunches, craft programs, field trips, social events, health checks, and daycare for infants through age 8. • She oversees cottage industries that include a recycling project making doormats out of vehicle tires, silk screening, an embroidery shop, ceramic chalice making, and jewelry repair.
