What is Pinnacle?
 The Pinnacle Internet
Viewer (PIV) is a web
site that allows you
to access your
student's records at
once.
 You can use the PIV
to review attendance
information, check
overall academic
status, and see
detailed grade
information for
specific classes in
which your student is
enrolled.
Accessing the PIV website:
● The direct web
link to the PIV is
https://gradebook.
browardschools.co
m/PIV
●You can either
use this link, or if
you go to the
school’s website,
you will be able to
find the same link
there in the
"Parents" and
“Students”
sections.
Logging in
to the PIV:
•
User Name: Student’s ID
#
•
Password: Student’s
DOB: YYYYMMDD
•
Choose School from
drop down box.
•

general
reports:
● "Attendance
Summary” - Click this
report to see your
student's schedule and
any reported absences or
tardies.
● "Grade Summary" Click this report to see
your student's grades for
each grading period,
semester exams (if
applicable), semester
averages, and course
average.
● "Teacher Email" - Click
here to get links to staff
emails for those who
have provided them.
Viewing
class
reports:
● "Student Assignments"
- This displays a detailed
listing of all the
assignments and grades
for the selected class.
● "Student Missing
Assignments" - This
displays any missing
assignments for the
selected class.
Accessing
Class
Reports:
1. In the
"Class" dropdown menu,
pick the
subject you
want.
2. In the
"Marking
Period" dropdown menu,
pick the 9Week Grading
Period you
want.
3. In the
"Report"
drop-down
menu, pick
the Class
Report you
want.
4. Finally click
the button
labeled "Get
Report".
Using the Email Notification System (ENS)
1. On the bottom left side of
the PIV screen, under
"Options", click "Email
Notification"
2. Type in your email address in
the box labeled "Enter your
email address here".
NOTE: Please type your email
address very carefully to avoid
any problems or delays.
3. Next click the button labeled
"Sign In".
4. Now you will go to the Email
Report Selection screen where
you can choose the reports you
wish to have emailed to you.
5. First fill in your name as you
wish it to appear in the box
labeled "Enter your name".
Options for Email Notices:
a. Check the box labeled "Automatic Unexcused Absence Notification"
to be sent an email any time your student has an unexcused absence.
b. Check the box labeled "Attendance Summary" to get an attendance
report emailed to you. You must also choose how often the report is to
be sent by selecting that from the drop-down box on the right.
c. Check the box labeled "Student Assignments" to get a detailed
report including grades for all assignments in all classes and what
assignments are missing. You must also choose how often the report is
to be sent by selecting that from the drop-down box on the right.
d. Check the box labeled "Grade Summary" to get a simple report with
just the current letter grade for each class. You must also choose how
often the report is to be sent by selecting that from the drop-down box
on the right.

7. When done with
your selections,
click the button
labeled "Submit
Notification
Request".
8. You will now go
to the "Email
Report Selection
Results" page
where you will see
a confirmation of
all the reports you
have requested.
Virtual Counselor
 Virtual Counselor
can be used to
view your child’s
previous FCAT
scores,
attendance, and
graduation credit
information.
Listed below are
the instructions
to access the
data:

• Username - Enter student 10 digit ID
number (not social security number)
• Enter password (Date of Birth
MM/DD/YYYY) ex. 08/07/1989
