The EDS is a framework
designed to help us review and
assess our equality performance
The EDS applies to people afforded
protection, by the Equality Act
2010, from unfavourable treatment
because of specified ‘protected’
characteristics

Organisations analyse and grade their equality performance against

EDS – Grading
Self Assessment -Organisations analyse and grade their equality performance
Grading
For each EDS outcome, there are four grades,
and a
RAG “plus” rating, to choose from :

Achieving - Green
Developing – Amber
Undeveloped – Red
A representative grading panel will meet on 27th March
to analyse evidence and agree the grade. Grading is
evidence based; where no evidence can be provided,
the grade will remain at ‘undeveloped’.
