Ben Franklin
• Ben discovered electricity with a kite and
lightning.
• He was with his son when he discovered
it.
• When he discovered it, he was 42.
• Ben was born in Massachusetts.
• He knocked himself unconscious at least
once doing this experiment.
There are 3 reasons
why Ben’s discovery
is magical and
marvelous to us!!!
Reason 1
It would be hard to survive today
without electricity.
• We couldn’t use microwaves or ovens.
• There would be very little light to see at
night.
• It would be hard to research to learn new
things so you can get a good job.
Reason 2
There would not much fun.
• There would be no video games.
• There would be no computers or laptops.
• There would be no iPods
Reason 3
There would be no clocks to tell
time.
• For parties it would be hard to know when
to go and leave.
• You would not know what time school
starts and ends.
