• Procards: Departments can purchase goods and
services for <$1,000 from vendors
• Purchase Orders:
 Less than $5,000 — bidding is not required but
recommended
 $5,000 to $25,000 — Requires a minimum of
three telephone quotes to be taken from at least one
ethnic minority and one woman-owned business
when available
 $25,000+ — Formal bids/quotes solicited by
purchasing through the Texas Marketplace
