Looking Ahead
 Measuring neighborhood change is
complex and best done over an
extended period of time
 Identifying specific impacts of a HOPE
VI community is challenging
 Substantial change has been achieved
Looking Ahead (continued)
 Quality and condition of a
neighborhood’s homes are primary
factors in overall neighborhood
quality
 Primary challenge to Tampa Housing
Authority and its community partners
is to keep the positive momentum
generated by Belmont Heights
Estates going
Looking Ahead (continued)
 Additional collaborative efforts are needed
to address local business need for more
support
 Neighborhood residents need added
motivation to participate in educational
opportunities and employment programs
 Success of Belmont Heights Estates can be
continued and replicated through strong
public-private partnerships
