 Mission - is a reliable and high-quality supply with electric power produced
from renewable energy sources.
 Vision - is the Company’s formation as a leader in the field of renewable
energy sector in Kazakhstan.

Parent company information

“Samruk-Energy” JSC was established on 18th April 2007 and officially registered on 10th May
2007;

100% of equity is fully owned by “Sovereign Wealth Fund “Samruk-Kazyna” JSC;

The group incorporates 22 entities and is a vertically integrated electricity provider, operating within
the borders of Kazakhstan. Its key focus areas are:


Generation of electric and thermal power (71% thermal energy and 29% hydro energy)

Transmission and distribution of electric power

Supply

Coal mining

Reconstruction, expansion and construction of power generating facilities and units
“Samruk-Energy” JSC controls 40% of the electricity generation in Kazakhstan and is
strategically important for the national economy.

Hydro power plant projects on Bartogai
Completed actions:

Investment-Innovation Council of «Samruk-Energy» JSC has
approved the realization of pre-investment stage of the Project
by acquisition of the share capital of “Zharyk Su Ltd” LLP;

The obtaining of land plots (2 and 3.1 hectares) for construction
have been approved;

The contract for water use has been signed;

Technical review of the technical-economical analysis of the
project is carried out;

Acquiring the interest in the share capital of Project Company
when the due diligence is completed;

Social-entrepreneurial corporation «Essil» has chosen potential
suppliers of fuel;

Perspective projects
«Samruk – Energy» JSC and «Samruk-Green Energy» LLP are considering the possibility
of developing following new projects:
1. Expansion of Kapshagay solar power plant up to 100 MW;
2. Construction of 45 MW Solar\Hydro mix station;
3. Construction of 300 MW solar power plant in the South Kazakhstan region.
