What Is HPHConnect?







HPHConnect is a web-based administrative transaction service that
makes the administration of health benefits faster, simpler, and more
accurate.
HPHConnect is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
HPHConnect is secure and maintains user-confidentiality.
HPHConnect runs with standard web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer)
that supports high-level encryption.
HPHConnect lets you spend less time on paperwork and more time
focusing on your business.
HPHConnect allows your third party administrator or broker to
perform any HPHConnect administrative transaction on your behalf.

When you request an HPHConnect account for your
company, you will receive a username and password.
These will allow you to access a host of online services.

Online Billing
Real time management of
your health benefit costs.
Receive a preliminary bill
on or about the 10th of the
month. Disenroll
subscribers directly from
your preliminary bill.
This allows you to focus
on transactions that you
need to process prior to
receiving your final bill.

specified by you
(between the 11th
and 25th of the
month) your final
invoice will be
posted. All
changes processed
since your
preliminary bill
will be reflected on
your final invoice.

Enroll or disenroll your
employees and their

change products or

qualifying events, and/or
update or change an

Display of Coverage Ends Date
For a complete picture of
your enrollees’ Harvard
Pilgrim coverage, a
Coverage Ends Date will
appear for members
whose coverage is ending
within 120 days. This
display allows you to
easily verify future
disenrollments.

Previous subscriber
enrollment
information can be
retrieved if the
subscriber was a
member of Harvard
Pilgrim within the
previous two years.
By using the ‘Add Subscriber’ function, you will be able to
submit new enrollments through HPHConnect to Harvard
Pilgrim by completing the online enrollment form!

Compare your employee
payroll or HRIS roster
with Harvard Pilgrim’s.
Download your employee
rosters into Excel or other
database applications and
you can view and print
your roster.
You also have the option
to download rosters as
“Subscriber only” or
“Subscriber and
Dependents.”

employees can access.
For demographic
changes, you can also
allow those updates to
come directly to

without stopping for

Review and Verify Employees’ Online Transactions
Transactions conducted by your employees are presented to
you for review and approval prior to being sent to Harvard
Pilgrim. All approved transactions are processed within 24-48
hours.

Enroll Online for Employees
Using your employer
ID#, employees can
enroll in Harvard
Pilgrim online. It’s
simple and easy to
use. The enrollment
is sent to you
electronically for
review and approval.
Enrollments will not
be sent to Harvard
Pilgrim without your
approval.

Create an HPHConnect Account
Once enrolled, members age 18 and older can create their
own personal HPHConnect account, which will allow them
to access their personal health information and history and
perform a variety of transactions.

View Benefit Information
HPHConnect gives members quick and easy access to their helath
history. They can access benefit information, claims history, view
provider information and track their history of prescription
medications.

Employees can search for, select or change a PCP for themselves
and their dependents based on search criteria that they choose,
such as language, gender or location preferences.

Employees can
request a new ID
card for
themselves or
their dependents.

Update Personal Information, Including
Enrolling/Disenrolling Dependents
Subject to your
preference settings,
employees can add or
disenroll dependents
due to qualifying
events, or make

information such as
their name, address,
phone number and email.
