 Middle School math placement will determined by:
 Previous grade’s EOG
 School-issued final exam
 Teacher recommendation
 IOWA overall math score
 Parent input
Flexibility
 Pre-testing in August will confirm a student’s
placement in course for the year
 Pre-Algebra will offer a 5 or 6 period per week option
 Algebra will offer a 5 or 7 period per week option
 Quarterly option to switch between 5 and 6 (or 7) day
option depending on student performance
Support
 In the Classroom

Differentiation, accommodations for students with learning
differences, supplemental materials for support or enrichment,
parent volunteers, teacher appointments
 Course Options in Pre-Algebra and Algebra
 Volunteers, tutors, and study halls

