The company was started in 1988 with the daring vision of Mr.
Hiren Vashi founder director.
Intention of the promoter to sell (CEL) to Britain coined
company as Britacel, and sold their first product to Britain.
Our dedicated team with continuous R &D coupled with our
reliability made us a market leader with a continuous
growthrate of 30% year after year.
Britacel has established its credentials as manufacturers of
speciality silicones with excellent quality control. Being the largest
supplier of Speciality Silicones in India today with over 30% market
share, Britacel has shown a phenomenal jump of about 5 times in
the turnover during the past 5 years.

Environment
Nurturing nature
The Britacel Silicones Ltd kinship with the cause of
environment and ecology has resulted in a slew of
initiatives that place the good earth above bottom lines.
A big chunk of the responsibility for containing the
plague driving our polluted and populous planet towards
peril rests with industry and business. Balancing the
imperatives of creating jobs and selling products and
services, with the absolute necessity of protecting and
regenerating what remains of the natural environment is
an enormous challenge. That it can be done is beyond
doubt, but this is a task requiring a commitment to
ideals more than bottom lines, to the good earth rather
than profiteering. The long history of the Britacel teems

Fair practices
Besides the Britacel code of conduct , a comprehensive set of tenets that all
employees of the group have to adhere to, the Britacel’s have a process known as
Management of Business Ethics to ensure that their enterprises and people
adhere to the highest ethical standards.
The Britacel code of conduct dual mechanism has a variety of components. The
most important of these are:
• Internal initiatives to communicate and train companies and employees on
ethical issues.
• Listening-post procedures to address concerns and dilemmas that companies
may have to confront.
• Framing and disseminating policies and guidelines
specific to individual companies.
