• The VOICE of European TeacherS (VOICES) will
become a network, which connects students as
future teachers, teachers, teacher trainers,
researchers and persons of other institutes
(connected to the educational field) in Europe.
• The overall aim is to implement European Teacher
competences (European Teacher competences
developed during the projects of Face-it: 134362-LLP1-2007-1-NL-COMENIUS-CMP and ETSize: 510134LLP-1-2010-1-NL-COMENIUS-CAM) and European
key-competences for lifelong learning in the curricula
of schools and teacher training institutes.
• The VOICES will disseminate knowledge and
experience from the face-it and ETSize projects to
other teacher training institutes and to schools
• The VOICE of European TeacherS (VOICES) network
will give schools, teachers, students, teacher
trainers, researchers and representatives of other
institution in the field of education, the possibility
to stay in contact, work together, start new projects
and share best practice. Collaboration during
projects and reflection on our activities are the keys
in the learning processes within the network.
• The VOICES network builds on the developed inservice courses and a relationship with high motivated
teachers of primary and secondary schools to become
a member in the network.
• The VOICE of European teacherS (VOICES) will be in
social networks. The web site will be renewed and
hosted on the address http://www.European-teachers.eu.
(ETSize will stay as a part of the VOICES, used for inservice courses).

The UU is responsible for:

The recruitment of 6 primary or secondary schools to become member of the
network before the start;
The recruitment of 2 other institutes or organisations on a regional or national level,
which play a role in innovation of education, to become a member of the network;
To co-ordinate the national group;
To interest 5 researchers / lecturers of the own institute in one of the thematic fields;
The communication with the management and administration of the own institute;
The promotion of the network on a the regional, national and international level to
realize the 20% growth;
The promotion of the conferences, in-service courses and publications of the network
on a regional and national level to realize the dissemination goals;
The expanding and broadening of the European Teacher subjects to a master level;
The special institutional tasks described above;
The search for national sponsors during and after the support of the EACEA;
The institutional part of the reports to the EACEA.

There is an application form for the schools and institutions who wants to be member for this project. This
form will soon be on our website http://www.european-teachers.eu/. In order to become a member of our
network, schools and institutions are asked to complete this application form and send it to the address on
the form ([email protected])
INFORMATION ABOUT MEMBERSHIP
The following information would be beneficial before asking membership:
Members pay a membership fee of €50, -. Members:
• Are part of the national VOICES group;
• Can follow a European Teacher in-service course, from the Comenius
databank and apply for a scholarship;
• Can be part of a thematic field and involved in research and can publish
in the newsletter.
• When members do presentations and /or workshops, they are invited for
conferences;
• Can visit a conference without doing a presentation. The conference
price will be reduced with the yearly memberships fee.

Important note for recruitment of students and teachers:

Each partner institution is responsible from the selection of students and teachers. So, each partner will
decide how to choose their participants to this project. Only it is important to note that the students and
teachers selected for this project need to be able to use the English fluently and also have interest in one of
the thematic fields (please see the thematic files in the following):

Students and teachers chosen for this project are going to be placed under one of the seven thematic fields
and will be asked to work on the research developed together with the other members of the related
thematic fields. Deadline for to determine the students and the teachers with their choices of the groups is
February, 15, 2013. National coordinators are expected to send the names of the students and teachers by
this deadline using the template tables.
