Maintenance in Aquaculture
Production Systems
Maintenance of good water quality and establishing best
management practices are critical for success in
aquaculture. This program provides an introduction to
best management practices for good water quality and
fish health. Additional speakers will discuss water
quality, health and the culture of freshwater prawn
(Dr. Gary Burtle U. GA) and the channel blue hybrid
catfish (Eagle Aquaculture). A tour of the
on-campus greenhouses with various aquaculture
systems, tilapia and aquaponics will also be conducted.
