Documentation
All documentation with prior earnings must be
obtained
For records prior to April 1999, you should contact
the Directorate of Access to Information and Privacy

Estimate
An online calculator and downloadable
spreadsheet are available to assist you with
your estimate
From the RFPP home Page, Click on Tools, then
“How to Use Buyback Calculator”.
Use the instructions for the online calculator
A copy of the estimate will be required to be
forwarded with your election form.
Forms
You must complete a Past Service Election form(s)
Estimate Total
Full or Partial election
Provisional Payment/Lump Sum/Combination of both
Signature and Date
Forwarded it within 7 Days of the signing date
You must also complete a Pre-Authorized Debit Form
Void Cheque
Monthly Installments/Type of election
Signature and Date
If you are contemplating a Lump Sum Payment or an
RRSP transfer you will have to complete the”Lump Sum
Payment” form and T2033 for RRSP transfers.
Validation
Computation of election cost by Pension Services
Pension Services will contact you with the election
cost and available options
You will be required to confirm your choice
Past Service Pension Adjustment (PSPA) is required
by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)
A confirmation of cost will be sent to you
