(North Carolina), which is using WorkForce Software’s Public Sector
Version for 5,000 employees to automate manual timekeeping.
They are using Synel’s SY-780/A terminals with barcode readers
and biometrics, and have at least 25 units.
Harris County PCT 3 (Texas), who is using TimeLOG Standard with
4 Barcode/TCP/IP SY-755 terminals.

Solihull County Council
This is a large County Council in the Midlands, with over 3000 employees
and Synel was chosen as the supplier of T&A and Access Control for the council.
The installation includes the Falcon Pro software, about 20 T&A terminals,
and over 30 access control points using the PRX-3 readers.
The Falcon software automatically disables the main door readers during
working hours, and enables them automatically outside working hours.
The system also controls the car park barriers throughout the site,
as only selected employees are allowed to park.
There are tens of thousands of transaction per day, all handled very efficiently by Falcon.
Manchester City Council - the second largest city in the UK after
London, chose Synel Time & Attendance system as the demands
for flexi-time and employees time costing requirements make the
existing systems obsolete. Manchester is joining Westminster,
Solihull, Chiltern, Shepway and Brent Councils who are already using
Synel systems for time recording and security access control.

A very sensitive site, with over 1000 employees, working in offices and toll
booths spread over hundreds of meters.
The system includes: SY-777 TCP/IP for Time & Attendance, and PRX-3
proximity readers connected to Master Control units.
All Access Control functions are covered under the Flacon PRO software.
There is a direct link to the Fire Alarm - a special I/O card in the PC received
an automatic message and activates the Fire Report. In case of an emergency
– the Fire Report covers both employees and visitors.
Employees use proximity badges with their Photo ID and other details.
Synel installed the system as “turn-key”, including all door hardware
e.g. magnetic locks, door closers, emergency break glass, fire link to
all doors, cabling etc.
Sealed Air Corporation Ltd.
Sealed Air is a world leader in food packaging. The head office is in the US,
and the UK operations are based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.
Synel UK has installed a comprehensive security system on site, including
Access Control using proximity technology, and day and night CCTV,
which covers all four main buildings, the loading areas, and three car parks.
Altogether over 500 employees, using Photo ID cards, and are allocated to
security groups. Only selected employees can use the car parks,
and entrance to the main buildings is limited to shift times.

King Edward VI College – Stourbridge
This is a Six Form school, with over 1300 students. The school was established
in 1552 – and has a reputation for excellence for over 450 years.
The school has about 10 buildings, spread over a large site.
Synel installed Falcon with bar-code readers, as the school has a library
system using bar code technology.
The system has two purposes: 1. Security for the site, 2. Electronic attendance
monitoring for the students.
All the transactions are then used to monitor the students’ attendance to the school.
Schools – Synel UK entered into commercial partnership Capita, by far
the biggest suppliers of School Information Management Systems, with
over 85% of the market in England, whereby Synel offers electronic
registration and security access control to schools integrated with
Capita’s systems. More than 25 schools and colleges are already
using Synel systems and new schools joining every week.

The Royal Army Museum, London - TimeLOG with SY-780 proximity
terminals for T&A and emergency fire report, printed automatically
from the terminal in case the fire alarm goes off. Without having to
access the PC, the terminal can print a Fire Report to a local serial printer.
Falcon Muster and Evacuation system
Installed in a high security oil terminal in the UK, the solution
offers online accounting
of personnel and visitors during muster and emergency evacuation.
Falcon provides online headcount of mustered cardholders.
If the emergency escalates to an evacuation, the same terminals
can be used to count evacuated personnel.
Reports provide accurate reporting of:
• when and where personnel mustered
• who has and who has not mustered or evacuated
• personnel last known location

A biometric access control system monitoring secure cabinets
for extra sensitive requirements.
Synel has a created a Biometric operated cabinet for holding sensitive equipment.
Opening the cabinet can only be done by placing the fingerprint on Synel’s
Biometric reader. Returning equipment to the cabinet can only be done
by the same person or by the supervisor using Fingerprint. The PC is also secured in the
cabinet and the screen shows the details and photograph of the person who
removed the items until they are returned. The supervisor can delete and add members
of staff to the system by enrolling their Fingerprint.
PIR (passive infrared) sensors can be added to the cabinet to monitor movements
of specific goods inside the cabinet. For instance, monitoring a drug cabinet
can be done on two levels; first, monitor who accessed the cabinet,
and second, monitor if drugs were touched or moved inside the cabinet.
The system is suitable for highly secure or sensitive industries e.g. Military,
Drugs or Nuclear sites.

B&D Training services
B&D Training Services are based in Dagenham, Essex and offer
Modern Apprenticeship and Entry to Employment (e2e) programs
to young people aged 16 - 25.
To streamline attendance procedures, to move away from a paper based
time sheet system, and to ensure only learners that attend receive their
training allowance, B&D Training Learners have to register using
fingerprint recognition and photo ID card at the beginning and
end of morning and afternoon training sessions.
The photo ID card also gives learners a discount in the on site cafe.
English Rose Hotels
English Rose Hotel are a chain of luxurious charming hotels that
have been using Synel Hardware and Software since 2003.
Time & Attendance biometrics (fingerprint) terminals and Access Control have
been installed to internal doors to prevent abuse, and secure the premises.

E-Buyer is one of the leading Internet wholesalers of
electronic equipment.
As part of their expansion, they installed a biometric access control
System from Synel, finding it the best system for securing their premises.
Ladbroke – the biggest betting shops in the country also chose
the biometric access control system from Synel, as part of a major
upgrade of their security.
BAe Systems - A specialized access control system based on
biometrics technology is to be installed at BAe sites. This project
reflects the growing need in the UK for highly sophisticated security
measures, and confirms Synel’s forecast for growing demand at the
high end of the market.

The company is a subsidiary of China SINOPEC, and is located
between Beijing and Guangzhou.
The core businesses of the Company are petroleum refining,
petroleum products storage, transportation and marketing, research
and development of petrochemical technologies and catalyst.
Number of employees: 2200 in headquarter, and more than 20,000 in
Yansan company.
This installation provides central control over all subsidiaries, but
each subsidiary can only authorize its own employees. Head-office's
and other Subsidiaries’ information cannot be viewed.
The system includes Falcon Pro software and 15 terminals,
achieving comprehensive access and attendance control and
parking management.

Dalian Prison - China
An access control system for managing prison staff and
visitors, and comprises Falcon software, and over 100 smart
card readers, which are connected to Access III and Access
IV controllers. The Falcon software is installed in a central
control room, and the system controls all prison entrances
and exits, in all 20 prison buildings, which are connected via
a separate cable infrastructure. The prison is staffed by over
1,000 people, and a large number of visitors pass through it
each day.
China is recently investing large efforts in strengthening and
reinforcing newer and stricter security measures in various
governmental institutions and sites, and this project forms a
part of this new policy.

professional staff. Miatech – Synel Ltd. provides this group with Access Control,
Assistance Control and a high-tech tailor-made development for its laboratories

The initial project has provided one of the buildings with control access through
the installation of 6 turnstiles, 5 Print-X, 12 PRX 30, 6 SY 400, 1 Master Control Unit,
4 PRX 40, 13 SY 760, 4 SY 780 and Falcon PRO.
Fingerprint Verification and Identification turnstiles, located on every floor,
monitor the employees’ entrance. The software manages restricted areas and groups.

Nacional de Electricidad) in Paraguay. This is the unique government electricity
company in Paraguay with about 1.000.000 of customers.
The installation is Time and Attendance with 14 units of SY-780/A, SY-Server
and a DLL integration for automatic collection of data in the Microsoft SQL Database.
They also buy a complete customized Time and Attendance web-based software,
specially developed for them. They have a large number of situations like rotating
hours employees, complex schedule hours and permissions & authorization
administration. This software was completely integrated with their in-house
developed payment software. The solution is for about 2.500 employees
in 3 main buildings in the MAN (Metropolitan Area Network).

The blood donation unit of the Israeli equivalent of the
international Red Cross - Magen David Adom - has installed SY-777
terminals in all its ambulances. The terminals, equipped with a cellular
modem, are connected to the ambulances’ power supply, enable
attendance reporting in real time to the units’ central computer in its headquarters.
This solution proves extremely important for this specific unit,
whose ambulances travel constantly from one city to the other,
seeking blood donators.
The new system eliminates the need for filling
paper based time sheets,
