This pilot questionnaire is designed to collect the most recent data on innovation available at the country level, in
order to commence the development of the UIS database of innovation indicators. This pilot data collection on
innovation statistics is a tentative exercise towards the establishment of a regular worldwide innovation data
collection activity.

Please refer to the Instruction Manual for Completing the Pilot Questionnaire on Innovation Statistics
before completing the questionnaire.
Only one questionnaire per country should be completed by the institution responsible for innovation
statistics (e.g. Ministry of Science and Technology, National Innovation Council or a similar organisation, or the
National Statistical Office).
