Legislation regulating Kazakhstan Content
• Point 5 article 63-1: 5. The competition organizer must give
priorities to Kazakhstan’s manufacturers in equal conditions
• Article 63-2. Support of Kazakhstan's manufacturers
1. At carrying out of operations on subsoil users the contractor
according to requirements of the present Law is obliged to get the
goods, works and services at the Kazakhstan manufacturers at their
state conformity and (or) to the international standards
2. Attraction to carrying out of competition of exclusively foreign
organizations is not supposed at presence of the Kazakhstan
manufacturers of the purchasing goods, works and services.
3. The competition organizer defining the winner gives 20
percent protection to domestic manufacturers at a competition in
accordance with the condition of goods, works and services
according to the requirements of competition and fixed standards

Kazakhstan Contract Agency’s functions to
increase local content
1) To provide the information on a share of
Kazakhstan’s content in purchasing by subsoil
users the goods and services in dynamics;
2) To provide duly and authentic package of
the information to domestic manufacturers
concerning needs of goods and services of
extractive industries (marketing services);
3) Forming of proposals on increase of
competitiveness of the domestic industries.
