in collaboration with PFC TIFAC

Role Played by the State Govt. in
facilitating GI Registration
• Notification published & PIC has been declared as a
Nodal agency in respect of GI in the state and shall
identify the GI items in consultation with the
concerned organisations/associations/line govt.
deptts. and individual experts.
• PIC shall file applications for GI registration on
behalf of any association of persons/producers and
organisations of the state.

The Patent Information Centre established
in 1997 under West Bengal State Council of Science
& Technology by PFC-TIFAC, DST,GoI has already
