For this thing is too much for you; you are not able to perform it by yourself. 19 Listen 20 And now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you: Stand before God for the people, so that you may bring the difficulties to God. you shall teach them the statutes and the laws, and show them the way in which they must walk and the work they must do. 21 Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 5 Moses helps with the great hard problems. Then it will be that every great matter they (Israel) shall bring to you (Moses), but every small matter they themselves shall judge. So it will be easier for you (Moses), for they will bear the burden with you (Moses). 23 If you (Moses) do this thing, and God so commands you(Moses), then you(Moses) will be able to endure, and all this people will also go to their place in peace.” 24 So Moses heeded the voice of his father-in-law and did all that he had said. 25 And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people: rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 26 So they judged the people at all times; the hard cases they brought to Moses, but they judged every small case themselves. THINK ABOUT: Answer in your mind/heart. 1. Are you someone the Lord would want to talk to? 2. Do you Listen carefully to God’s Word and hear His promises? 3. Do you know God loves you and God wants to help you? 4. Draw your hands and feet too! 9 Practice Praise Words Sing the Songs SHABACH שָׁבַח Shout Unto God with a voice of triumph EXPRESS CONFIDENCE IN GOD’S ABILITY. Shabach means, "to shout, to address in a loud tone, to command, to triumph." Ps 145:4 One generation shall praise (shabach) thy works to another and declare thy mighty acts. Isa 12:6 Cry aloud and shout (shabach) for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, For great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel. Other references: BARAK ב ַרך ָׁ Come let us worship and bow down EXPRESS HUMILITY. Barak means "to kneel down, to bless God as an act of adoration." Ps 95:6 O come let us worship and bow down; let us kneel (barak) before the Lord our maker. 1Chr 29:20 Then David said to all the assembly, "Now bless (barak) the Lord your God." And all the assembly blessed (barak) the Lord, the God of their fathers, and bowed low and did homage to the Lord and to the king. ZAMAR זמַ ר EXPRESS A HOLY ATMOSPHERE WITH MUSIC. Tehillah is derived from the word halal and means "the singing of halals, Singing scripture to instruct and encourage. Ps 33:1 Rejoice in the Lord, o ye righteous, for praise (tehillah) is comely for the upright. Isa 61:3 To grant to those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of 10 mourning, The mantle of praise (tehillah) instead of the spirit of fainting, So they shall be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
