e.g. Medicine, Engineering, Architecture,
Commerce , Science
Maths Literacy for non-maths based courses:
e.g. Humanities; Law
Physical Science for Engineering & Physical Science
degrees as well as medical courses
Life Sciences for medical, biological & earth sciences
All other subjects will have career links but are not likely
to be formal entrance requirements.

Part of the normal Maths syllabus
Not included in the core syllabus for the
first few years
DUT engineering now expecting it

Warning – ignore at your own risk
High flyers – it may get you in the paper!
I advise better Maths learners to enter it,
you can always withdraw if necessary

No final exam, only course work

Need for portfolio - incomplete = incomplete

Four subjects at achievement level 3 (40%
or better)
