 The ideal coursebook should:  * meet our institution’s objectives  * make the objectives accessible / visual / tangible for students and teachers (checklists after each unit/module)  * be theme-based, communicative, skills integrated and production oriented

 * be a multimedia book (more like a guidebook / reference book linking the objectives to other resources)  * encourage student-centered approach  * promote critical thinking  * focus on study skills and strategies / include reminders / tip boxes throughout

 Tasks and activities should:  * promote collaborative work  * suit the student profile of our institution  * reflect real life situations  * encourage project-based work

 The texts should: • be as authentic as possible • be relevant to the student’s interests and needs • treat both local and global topics • have a systematic approach to revising and recycling vocabulary
