What is a Bundle?
PeopleSoft delivers application software packages called “bundles” four
times per year (quarterly). A bundle release contains four elements:
 New software features
 Capability enhancements
 Fixes for known issues
 Regulatory compliance items
Delivery
Continuous Delivery Model (CDM)

Sequential application on an ongoing basis
Implement new functionality to meet immediate needs
Institutions no longer have to rely on costly, disruptive major upgrades
CDM customers must be on the same software release
All updates must be applied in sequential order
Bundle 37 is a prerequisite for Bundle 38

 Campus Solutions will be up to date on
releases, features, and enhanced capabilities
 64 various software fixes corrected across the
modules
 Financial Aid will be within regulatory
compliance
 Campus Solutions will be ready for the
application of Bundle 38

• Annual update for computational support to the 2015-2016 INAS Federal Methodology (FM) and continued support for
the Institutional Methodology and Estimated Federal Methodology (IM/EFM). Modifications are planned for FM, IM, and
EFM INAS processing to account for changes in processing logic to support 2015-2016.
Planned 2015-2016 Aid Year Updates for Pell COD
• Annual changes to enable Pell COD processing for 2015-2016 including incorporation of

Planned 2015-2016 Aid Year Updates for Pell Schedules
• On January 29, 2015, the US Department of Education (ED) published the Regular Payment and Disbursement
schedules [Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) GEN-15-02] for determining Federal Pell Grant awards for the 2015-2016 Aid
Year; July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016, which was posted on February 11, 2015. We plan to post this regulatory update in
Additional Features Q2 2015.
Planned 2015-2016 Verification Updates Post Campus Solutions 9.0 Bundle #36
• The ability to apply aid year 2015-2016 tax data to ISIR and changes to the Tax, Credits, and Payments page.
• Subsequent changes to Tax, Credits, and Payments to identify and use the correct Income Tax Amount required by
FAFSA.

NOTE: The PeopleBook updates for Verification, INAS, Student Eligibility Code (Ability to Benefit),
and DLSAS are based on the following critical system updates made since Bundle 36 and before
the release of Bundle 37:

Patch ID 11611860/Product Update ID 917320 released on February 17, 2015.
•
Patch ID 19033014/Product Update ID 918958 released on March 9, 2015.
2015 – 2016 Pell Grant Schedules
On January 29, 2015, the United States Department of Education published the Regular Payment
and Disbursement schedules [Dear Colleague Letter (DCL) GEN-15-02] for determining Federal
Pell Grant awards for the 2015-2016 Aid Year, July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. On February 11,
2015, Oracle posted Patch ID 19032869/Product Update ID 915103 to My Oracle Support for
customers to update the system with the schedules announced in DCL GEN-15-02.

If a student or parent has an IRS Request Flag
value of “02”, meaning the IRS data was
transferred from the IRS and was not changed by
the user prior to submission of an application or
correction, then the following message appears at
the bottom of the FAA Information, Household
Info, and Tax Form Data pages: “One or more
IRS Request values equals 02. Performing Get
Fed Data is optional. You may enter information
directly in the component. Updating IRS AGI data
elements required for Verification may result in an
AGI no longer supported by the information
retrieved from the IRS.”.

Entering Tax, Credits, and Payments
Bundle 37
Documentation Only Update-Updated Description of
this section
Tax Credits and Payments allows entry of pertinent
data from forms 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ. It
captures Line xx Income Tax Amount and uses that
value to update U.S. Tax Paid on the Tax Form Data
entry page for use in the compare process. Other
fields used in compare available in Tax, Credits, and
Payments are Schedule A itemized Deductions
(1040 only), Education Credits, Additional Medicare
Form 8959, Earned Income Credit, and Additional
Child Tax Credit.
