Methodology


Web survey was conducted on the UNR
campus in the Spring of 2007
A random sample (2,802) based on the
proportion of students in each class
standing





586 (20.9%) freshmen
614 (21.9%) sophomores
616 (22.0%) juniors
986 (35.2%) seniors
564 students responded to the survey (21%)

two-thirds (66.7%) were familiar with or had heard of the intramural sports program
only 21.6% had ever participated in the intramural sports program (including being a spectator)
half (50.4%) utilized the program at a higher frequency of participating on a daily, weekly, or monthly
basis, while the other 50% reported using the program twice a year or less
