environmental issues to be addressed in the EIR
• Limited staff interaction
• Please focus comments on:
Potential significant environmental impacts
Potential mitigation measures
Potential alternatives which can avoid, reduce or
minimize project impacts
• Not a forum to address “merits of the project”

Winery Ordinance Update Project
•The existing winery ordinance was adopted in 2004.
•Affects wineries located on agriculturally zoned land.
•Does not affect:
-Wineries or tasting rooms in commercial areas
-Previously approved winery projects, unless proposing
a revision
•Project goal is to improve efficiency in the winery permit
process and balance the needs of the various stakeholder
groups.
