Background - IPS Benefits - OEM
 Less engineering
– Less complex engine room
– simplified design work/tooling of
running gear, steering, exhaust etc.
– less testing of ratios & propellers,
tunnels not needed
– RCD sound approved package
 Simplified logistic
– few parts, complete package from
one supplier
– improved cash flow, install engines
late
 Efficient production
– less production adjustments

The extended speed
range gives more boat
owners the many
advantages of the IPS.
IPS – Semi planing
 Two power levels for IPS 3 semi-planing yachts
– IPS 900 (700hp)
– IPS 1050 (800hp)
 Based on the D13 Engine
– Meets tier 3
– Type approved
– 800hp, Rating 4
 IPS 3 changes implemented for MC and Semi-planing
– Extended fatigue life
– 2:1 ratio
 The new QS 5 propeller has been optimized for a speed range
down to 21 knots.
