Requirements
• As a team (size 3-4)
• 10-day expedition outside
• Minimum travelling time of 50 hours
– over the 10 days,
– by foot, cycle, horse, canoe, boat or dinghy
– does not include the time to get there!!!
• Undertake challenges
• Record & make a presentation of your experiences
Things you must do (1)
• Show competence in
• Navigation skills
• Expedition cooking
• Lightweight camping
• Language
• Acceptable home hospitality
• Fitness
• Proficiency in mode of travel
• Teambuilding
• First Aid (covering First Response as a minimum)

• Projects
– complete one major project

Ten mini-projects/challenges
– these are given to you just before leaving – GOLD envelope!
For example:
– crewing on a ship and interviewing the captain
– broadcasting on Norwegian radio
– meeting a local celebrity
– learning a local song and dance
– cooking a traditional Norwegian dish
– trying a Norwegian cottage industry
