Language Arts Connection
In Language Arts classrooms, students will be focusing on
comprehension strategies and will be given increased time to
complete required independent reading in books of their
choice and at their independent reading level. This focus
combined with reading interventions in phonics skills should
help students grow in their reading success.
*It is expected that students will have with them each day a
book that they are reading independently. Obviously, the
best way for students to experience growth in their reading
skills is to make every effort to read independently each day.
Homework
Class work Policy
All assigned work will be completed during class time. There will NOT be
homework assigned in this class.
Make-up Work/Absence Policy
•Because there will not be homework assigned, students will not have
anything to take home to make up if they are absent. However, if a student
seems to need extra time to make progress in their program due to absences
or other reasons, arrangements can be made to work after school as needed.
