The Library is open four evenings per week
until 10pm all year round.
Library opening hours remain extensive over the
summer.
Library Collections
 50,000 books
 200 print journals
 Multi-media collection (DVDs etc)
 Rapidly expanding e-book collection
 45,000 full-text e-journals and A-Z journal software
 Subscriptions to extensive portfolio of databases
 Webfeat: Enables students to search all the Library’s electronic
resources at the same time. Go to search all resources on the
Library Website to use this facility.
Accessing Library Materials
 You use your student card to borrow Library
materials
 Postgraduates can borrow 10 items at a time
 Books can be renewed twice
 Key texts are available for lending periods of two
weeks, one week, 3 days and two hours.
 The Library buys one core text per ten
students.
Fines
Fines are levied to ensure fair and
equitable access to books. If you
return your books on time, you
incur no fine.
Fines are doubled one month prior to exams to ensure that
students to not return books late during this key period.
All monies raised are ploughed back into the Library Service
