THE HERESY OF PREMILLENIALISM
Land Promise To Abraham
Fulfilled
"Now behold, today I am going the way of all the
earth, and you know in all your hearts and in all
your souls that not one word of all the good
words which the LORD your God spoke
concerning you has failed; all have been fulfilled
for you, not one of them has failed. "It shall
come about that just as all the good words
which the LORD your God spoke to you have
come upon you, so the LORD will bring upon
you all the threats, until He has destroyed you
from off this good land which the LORD your
God has given you. " (Joshua 23:14-15)
Premillenialism Ignores Plain Passages
o Premillennialists falsely teach that Israel never got
the land they were promised and that God had to
bring Israel again into the land in 1948 AD, in order
to fulfill his promise. This is entirely false!
o Here are some typical statements by famous
premillennialists:
o a. "God unconditionally promised Abraham's
descendants a literal world-wide kingdom over
which they would rule through their Messiah who
would reign upon King David's throne...Even the
animals and reptiles will lose their ferocity and no
longer be carnivorous," (The Late Great Planet Earth,
Hal Lindsay, p 165)
Premillenialism Ignores Plain Passages
• b. "The nature of the blessings are earthly,
territorial, and national, and have nothing to
do with a spiritual church to which none of
these blessings has been promised ...Christ is
not now on the throne of David bringing
blessings to Israel as the prophets predicted,
but He is rather on His Father's throne waiting
for the coming earthly kingdom and
interceding for His own who form the church,"
(The Millennial Kingdom: A Basic Text in Premillennial
Theology, John F. Walvoord, p 205, 1983 AD)
Premillenialism Ignores Plain Passages
• c. 3. "The foundation of the state of Israel
in recent years has been a part of the
predicted regathering of scattered Israel
back to their ancient land...The present
partial possession of the land is a token.
The complete possession awaits the
coming of Israel's Redeemer"
(The Millennial Kingdom: A Basic Text in Premillennial
Theology, John F. Walvoord, p 185, 1983 AD)
This Is Error and blatant
ignoring of the scriptures.
Israel Received The Land
Promise
• "So the LORD gave Israel all the land
which He had sworn to give to their
fathers, and they possessed it and lived in
it. And the LORD gave them rest on every
side, according to all that He had sworn to
their fathers, and no one of all their
enemies stood before them; the LORD
gave all their enemies into their hand. Not
one of the good promises which the
LORD had made to the house of Israel
failed; all came to pass. " (Joshua 21:43-45)
The Jews Had Their
Land and Lost It
• Neh 9:8 And Thou didst find Abraham's
heart faithful before Thee, and didst make
a covenant with him to give him the land
of the Canaanite, of the Hittite and the
Amorite, of the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and
the Girgashite-- to give it to his
descendants. And Thou hast fulfilled Thy
promise, for Thou art righteous.
• The land promise was conditional on
Israel’s obedience. They disobeyed and
lost their land.
Jesus Sits On His Promised
Throne Now
• "I have made a covenant with My chosen; I have
sworn to David My servant, I will establish your
seed forever And build up your throne to all
generations." (Psalm 89:3-4)
• "Brethren, I may confidently say to you
regarding the patriarch David that he both died
and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this
day. "And so, because he was a prophet and
knew that GOD HAD SWORN TO HIM WITH AN
OATH TO SEAT one OF HIS DESCENDANTS ON
HIS THRONE, he looked ahead and spoke of the
resurrection of the Christ, that HE WAS
NEITHER ABANDONED TO HADES, NOR DID
His flesh SUFFER DECAY.
Jesus Sits On His Promised
Throne Now
• "This Jesus God raised up again, to which we
are all witnesses. "Therefore having been
exalted to the right hand of God, and having
received from the Father the promise of the Holy
Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both
see and hear. "For it was not David who
ascended into heaven, but he himself says: 'THE
LORD SAID TO MY LORD, "SIT AT MY RIGHT
HAND, UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A
FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET." ' "Therefore let
all the house of Israel know for certain that God
has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus
whom you crucified." (Acts 2:29-36)
 This happened on Pentecost.
Premillenialism Has An Empty
Throne
• Notice Jesus must reign until his enemies are
defeated. The last enemy is death, which will be
abolished at the resurrection:
• . "For it was not David who ascended into
heaven, but he himself says: 'THE LORD SAID
TO MY LORD, "SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I
MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR
YOUR FEET." ' "Therefore let all the house of
Israel know for certain that God has made Him
both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you
crucified." " (Acts 2:34-36)
 "For He must reign until He has put all His
enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will
be abolished is death. " (1 Corinthians 15:25-26)
Premillenialism Has An Empty
Throne
• "And He is the radiance of His glory and the
exact representation of His nature, and upholds
all things by the word of His power. When He
had made purification of sins, He sat down at
the right hand of the Majesty on high ... But of
the Son He says, "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS
FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS
SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM"
... But to which of the angels has He ever said,
"SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I MAKE YOUR
ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET."
(Hebrews 1:3,8,13)
Premillenialism Has An Empty
Throne
• "Every priest stands daily ministering and offering
time after time the same sacrifices, which can never
take away sins; but He, having offered one sacrifice
for sins for all time, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND
OF GOD, waiting from that time onward UNTIL HIS
ENEMIES BE MADE A FOOTSTOOL FOR HIS FEET. "
(Hebrews 10:11-13)
• e. "'He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down
with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat
down with My Father on His throne." (Revelation 3:21)
 Christ is reigning NOW and will give up the throne to
the father at the second coming.
 It becomes crystal clear that Jesus is seated on the
throne of David right now until the resurrection at the
second coming.
Jesus Is Already On His Throne
Jesus vacates the throne of
David at the second coming,
(Premillennialists say Jesus
receives the kingdom):
Jesus Is Already On His Throne
• "For as in Adam all die, so also in
Christ all will be made alive. But each
in his own order: Christ the first fruits,
after that those who are Christ's at His
coming, then comes the end, when He
hands over the kingdom to the God
and Father, when He has abolished all
rule and all authority and power. For
He must reign until He has put all His
enemies under His feet.
Jesus Is Already On His Throne
• “The last enemy that will be abolished is
death. For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN
SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when
He says, "All things are put in subjection,"
it is evident that He is excepted who put all
things in subjection to Him. When all
things are subjected to Him, then the Son
Himself also will be subjected to the One
who subjected all things to Him, so that
God may be all in all. "
(1 Corinthians 15:22-28)
Jesus Is Already On His Throne
• Did you notice that?
 At the second coming, Jesus hands
over the kingdom to God which he has
ruled since the resurrection.
• This is exactly opposite to what pre-tribulation
rapture false teachers and premillennialist say.
They have Christ sitting on the throne of David
for the first time at the second coming, but the
Bible says he has already been on the throne of
David and gives it up to God, so God can be all
in all. Is Jesus King NOW? They say no- at
least their doctrine does.
Why Do They Insist On An Earthly
Throne?
• The earthly throne of David was apostasy
that angered God from the time of Saul!
• Originally God was Israel's king and he
reigned on his throne in heaven. But Israel
asked for a king on earth, which was an
apostasy and angered God so much he
wiped out their crops. It is clear that God
realized that he was being rejected and in a
symbolic way, God allowed his throne to
come down to earth and have men sit and
rule in his place:
Why Do They Insist On An Earthly
Throne?
• a. "But the thing was displeasing in the
sight of Samuel when they said, "Give us
a king to judge us." And Samuel prayed
to the LORD. The LORD said to Samuel,
"Listen to the voice of the people in
regard to all that they say to you, for they
have not rejected you, but they have
rejected Me from being king over them. "
(1 Samuel 8:6-7)
Why Do They Insist On An Earthly
Throne?
• b. ""Is it not the wheat harvest today? I will call to
the LORD, that He may send thunder and rain.
Then you will know and see that your wickedness
is great which you have done in the sight of the
LORD by asking for yourselves a king." “
(1 Samuel 12:17)
• c. ""When you saw that Nahash the king of the
sons of Ammon came against you, you said to
me, 'No, but a king shall reign over us,' although
the LORD your God was your king. "Now
therefore, here is the king whom you have
chosen, whom you have asked for, and behold,
the LORD has set a king over you. "
(1 Samuel 12:12-13)
Christ Said- “It Is Finished”
No reason to bring Christ back to earth
as his work is finished here:
1. His mission of redemption is complete:
Eph 1:7-10; Col 1:13-14
2. His revelation is complete: Eph 3:1-10;
Jude 3
3. His authority is complete: Matthew 28:18;
Eph 1:20-21
Christ Said- “It Is Finished”
No reason to bring Christ back to earth
as his work is finished here:
4. His kingdom is complete: Col 1:13;
Heb 12:28
5. His throne is Complete: Heb 4:13 Rev 3:21
6. His name is complete: Eph 1:22; Col 3:17;
Phil 2:9-10
7. His glory is complete: Lk 24:25;
1 Pe 1:20-21
(God's Prophetic word, Foy E. Wallace, p 193, 1945)
God Did Not Make A Mistake
• Jesus is seated upon the throne of
David right now, and has been
since Pentecost.
• Christ is ruling in his kingdom, the
church, right now and will do so
until the second coming.
God Did Not Make A Mistake
• At the second coming, Jesus will give up the
throne to God so that the Father may be all in
all. "For He must reign until He has put all His
enemies under His feet. The last enemy that
will be abolished is death. For HE HAS PUT
ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS
FEET. But when He says, "All things are put
in subjection," it is evident that He is
excepted who put all things in subjection to
Him. When all things are subjected to Him,
then the Son Himself also will be subjected to
the One who subjected all things to Him, so
that God may be all in all. " (1 Corinthians
15:25-28)
God Did Not Make A Mistake
• Rapture teaches the false doctrine that at
the second coming Jesus starts to rule in
his kingdom, and Jesus is a King without
a kingdom now. The Bible teaches the
opposite!
• Dispensationalists have such bad Bible
knowledge that they do not understand
that Jesus cannot be a king or priest on
earth in Jerusalem EVER, because he is
a descendant of Jeconiah, and he is not
a Levite.
God Did Not Make A Mistake
• The earthly throne of David is now extinct
forever. A restored earthly throne as
proposed by premillennialists would again
anger God: "I gave you a king in My anger
And took him away in My wrath." (Hosea
13:9-11)
• Pre-tribulation Rapture teachers and
Premillennialists are rank heretics who
have almost no knowledge of prophecy or
basic Bible truths.
What The Bible Teaches
Christians are the true Jews and compose
true Israel ( the church) today
 The church is God's Israel ( Kingdom)
today.
Physical Israel is equal to the Gentiles
today and like the Gentiles, must believe
Jesus rose from the dead in order to be
saved from punishment.
What The Bible Says
• The Bible clearly teaches that God's true
Jews today are Christians:
• "For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly,
nor is circumcision that which is outward in
the flesh. But he is a Jew who is one
inwardly; and circumcision is that which is
of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter;
and his praise is not from men, but from
God. " (Romans 2:28-29)
What The Bible Says
• "Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision
means anything; what counts is a new
creation. Peace and mercy to all who
follow this rule, even to the Israel of God
[Christians]. " (Galatians 6:15-16)
• "for we are the true circumcision, who
worship in the Spirit of God and glory in
Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the
flesh, " (Philippians 3:3)
To The Jew First & Also The Greek
• Jesus went to the Jews first but they
rejected Him as the Messiah. The church,
(the kingdom) is now open to both Jew and
Gentile equally. Both must believe, repent,
confess Jesus as Lord and be baptized for
the remission of their sins. There is only
one way to get saved! Jews have no
special route to heaven that gentiles do not
have. They all must believe and do the
same things to be saved.
To The Jew First & Also The Greek
• Paul always began his evangelism in a new
city by preaching in the Jewish synagogues.
When the Jews rejected the gospel, he turned
to the gentiles: "But when the Jews saw the
crowds, they were filled with jealousy and
began contradicting the things spoken by
Paul, and were blaspheming. Paul and
Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, "It was
necessary that the word of God be spoken to
you first; since you repudiate it and judge
yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we
are turning to the Gentiles. " (Acts 13:45-46)
To The Jew First & Also The Greek
• "This precious value, then, is for you who believe;
but for those who disbelieve, [Israel] "THE STONE
WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS
BECAME THE VERY CORNER stone," and, "A
STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF
OFFENSE"; for they stumble because they are
disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were
also appointed. But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A
royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE
FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, so that you may
proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called
you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for
you once were NOT A PEOPLE, but now you are
THE PEOPLE OF GOD; you had NOT RECEIVED
MERCY, but now you have RECEIVED MERCY. "
(1 Peter 2:7-10)
Jews Saved The Same Way As
Gentile
• Romans 9:26 is misused to teach that God has a
special plan for the Jews that is different from the
Gentiles.
• Passages that show Israel is saved exactly like the
gentiles by faith:
• a. "For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of
this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own
estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to
Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in;
and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, "THE
DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL
REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB."THIS IS
MY COVENANT WITH THEM, WHEN I TAKE AWAY
THEIR SINS." (Romans 11:25-27)
Jews Saved The Same Way As
Gentile
b. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the
power of God for salvation to everyone who
believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For
in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith
to faith; as it is written, "BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man
SHALL LIVE BY FAITH." (Romans 1:16-17)
c. "For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek;
for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches
for all who call on Him; for "WHOEVER WILL CALL
ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
(Romans 10:12-13)
Jews Saved The Same Way As
Gentile
d. "I say then, God has not rejected His people, has He?
May it never be! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant
of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. God has not
rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not
know what the Scripture says in the passage about
Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel? "Lord,
THEY HAVE KILLED YOUR PROPHETS, THEY HAVE
TORN DOWN YOUR ALTARS, AND I ALONE AM LEFT,
AND THEY ARE SEEKING MY LIFE." But what is the
divine response to him? "I HAVE KEPT for Myself
SEVEN THOUSAND MEN WHO HAVE NOT BOWED
THE KNEE TO BAAL." In the same way then, there has
also come to be at the present time a remnant according
to God's gracious choice. But if it is by grace, it is no
longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no
longer grace. " (Romans 11:1-6)
Jews Saved The Same Way As
Gentile
e. "But when I saw that they were not straightforward
about the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in the
presence of all, "If you, being a Jew, live like the
Gentiles and not like the Jews, how is it that you
compel the Gentiles to live like Jews? "We are Jews
by nature and not sinners from among the Gentiles;
nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by
the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus,
even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we
may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the
works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no
flesh will be justified. " (Galatians 2:14-16)
The Clear ParableDo They Believe It?
• The Parable of the Landowner: Israel
replaced by Church/Christians
• "Listen to another parable. There was a
landowner who PLANTED A VINEYARD
AND PUT A WALL AROUND IT AND DUG
A WINE PRESS IN IT, AND BUILT A
TOWER, and rented it out to vine-growers
and went on a journey. "When the harvest
time approached, he sent his slaves to the
vine-growers to receive his produce.
The Clear ParableDo They Believe It?
• "The vine-growers took his slaves and beat
one, and killed another, and stoned a third.
"Again he sent another group of slaves larger
than the first; and they did the same thing to
them. "But afterward he sent his son to them,
saying, 'They will respect my son.' "But when
the vine-growers saw the son, they said
among themselves, 'This is the heir; come, let
us kill him and seize his inheritance.' "They
took him, and threw him out of the vineyard
and killed him. "Therefore when the owner of
the vineyard comes, what will he do to those
vine-growers?"
The Clear ParableDo They Believe It?
• They said to Him, "He will bring those
wretches to a wretched end, and will rent out
the vineyard to other vine-growers who will
pay him the proceeds at the proper
seasons." Jesus said to them, "Did you never
read in the Scriptures, 'THE STONE WHICH
THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS
BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone; THIS
CAME ABOUT FROM THE LORD, AND IT
IS MARVELOUS IN OUR EYES'?
The Clear ParableDo They Believe It?
• "Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God
will be taken away from you and given to a
people, producing the fruit of it. "And he who
falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but
on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like
dust." When the chief priests and the
Pharisees heard His parables, they understood
that He was speaking about them. When they
sought to seize Him, they feared the people,
because they considered Him to be a prophet.
" (Matthew 21:33-46)
All Are One “In Christ Jesus”
National Identities are destroyed in Christ:
• "For He Himself is our peace, who made
both groups into one and broke down the
barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in
His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of
commandments contained in ordinances,
so that in Himself He might make the two
into one new man, thus establishing peace,
and might reconcile them both in one body
to God through the cross, by it having put to
death the enmity. " (Ephesians 2:14-16)
All Are One “In Christ Jesus”
• "For you are all sons of God through faith in
Christ Jesus. For all of you who were
baptized into Christ have clothed
yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew
nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free
man, there is neither male nor female; for
you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you
belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's
descendants, heirs according to promise. "
(Galatians 3:26-29)
All Are One “In Christ Jesus”
• Notice that in fulfilling Isa 2:2-4, Christ brought
about peace between all the nations that were at
war.
• When a Jew becomes a Christian, his identity as a
Jew and becomes secondary to his becoming a
new creature spiritually. ( he is a spiritual Jew
now).
• In Christ there are no national competing
identities like there were under the Old Testament.
• National Jews have no advantage over
Americans, Canadians, Egyptians or Iranians.
• Today Christians are God's "chosen race" and
they can be from any nation on earth.
The Fairy Tale Of A Rapture
• It is common today to see bumper stickers with
slogans such as: "In case of Rapture this car will
be unoccupied." The term Rapture stands for the
so-called coming of a millennial reign of Christ on
earth. The word Rapture comes from the Latin,
RAPARE, which means to "take away" or "snatch
out." theory that is directly associated with It is
taught by many who endorse this theory that
Christ at his second coming will silently remove
from this world the righteous - and this just before
a terrible tribulation shall take place on the earth.
This alarmist doctrine portrays quite a drama.
Families will be shocked by the strange
disappearance of a mother, father, or child.
Driverless cars will collide in streets.
The Fairy Tale Of A Rapture
• A man and wife are in bed; she hears a noise, turns
her head, and he is gone. Planes crash with no pilots
found. The theorist continues by stating that the
tribulation on earth will last for seven years during
which time the Lord will pour out His wrath upon all
those who have rejected Him. At the end of the
tribulation, they say, the Lord will return to the earth
with ten thousand of His saints and a great battle will
be fought. They add that Christ and His army will be
victorious and will then execute judgment upon the
ungodly. Then, according to the theory, the Lord will
usher in His Kingdom, an earthly reign of Christ on
earth which shall last for 1,000 years.
• This tract says:
"very likely going to happen in the very near future"
Ron Reese
No Passage- Reject The Rapture
• The conclusion of this suggested millennium
will pose another great battle. This is
supposed to involve a last-ditch effort of evil
against good - to no avail, of course. Then
they affirm that a second resurrection will-take
place; and all who remain from the time of
Adam will be raised and shall receive their just
desserts. Let us see what the Bible says
regarding the truth of our Lord's return.
• First, the word Rapture is not even to be found
in the Bible; Nor is the doctrine taught there.
No Passage- Reject The Rapture
• Secondly, the Lord's return will not be. secretive or
silent. Revelation 1:7 states that, "every eye shall
see him', 1 Thessalonians 4:16, says that His
coming will be heralded with, "a shout'. with the
voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God".
• Thirdly, the "tribulation" often referred to is based
upon an erroneous interpretation of Matthew 24.
This "tribulation' was associated with the fall of
Jerusalem in A.D. 70 according to the first question
the Lord answered in Matthew 24:1-3. That
"tribulation" did in fact come before that generation
passed, Matthew 24:34.
• Fourthly, according to the Bible there is but one
resurrection and that will include both the good and
evil., John 5:28-29, states, "all that are in the graves
shall hear His voice, and shall come forth".
No Passage- Reject The Rapture
• Fifthly, based upon the Bible, Christ's
Kingdom is not future. It has already been in
existence for nearly 2000 years and it is a
spiritual kingdom, not an earthly one. Jesus
stated it in John 18:336 "My kingdom is not of
this world." Christ promised Peter in Matthew
16:18-19-that he could open the doors of the
kingdom, and this the apostle exercised in
Acts 2:38-47. John, the apostle, stated in
Revelation 1:9 that he was "in the Kingdom".
Now all of these books were written in the
First Century and the kingdom was spoken of
as existing then. Mark 9:1 is a passage that
definitely puts the beginning of the kingdom
in that generation.
No Passage- Reject The Rapture
• Lastly, the idea of a thousand year reign of Christ
on earth is a gross distortion of Revelation 20:1-7.
This is a highly figurative context within a very
symbolic book. The reign viewed in Revelation 20
is not an "earthly" reign of the Lord at all. It is a
spiritual reign with victorious saints (Revelation
20:4). In Revelation 6:9-11 these martyred souls
were, "underneath the altar", crying for vindication;
in Chapter 20, however, they were on, "thrones
reigning with their Lord." This was a prophetic
indication that Christianity would be triumphant
over its enemies. The 1,000 years is likely a
symbol of the completeness of that victory. The
number 1,000 is used more than 20 times in the
book of Revelation, but not in a literal sense. The
whole concept of the so-called Rapture contradicts
scores of Bible passages of the clearest import.
Did God Fail? This Chart Is Error!
Gap-Theory Error Of Premillenialist
• The Gap Theory is a false doctrine taught by
pre-tribulation Rapture advocates.
• It is rooted in the 70 weeks of Daniel where
the clock stops at week 69, because God did
not expect the Jews to reject as their earthly
King, and it starts again when Israel became
a nation again in 1948 AD… at least that is
how the story goes.
• The problem is, that you cannot stop the
clock with TIME prophecies. The whole point
of the time sensitive prophecy, is that an
event must take place within a specific time.
To stop the clock makes the prophecy fail!
Gap-Theory Error Of Premillenialist
• While Rapture teachers say that God thought up the
church on the fly only after the Jews rejected Jesus
as King, the church is the eternal purpose of God
and will endure for all future eternity ( Eph. 1:3-14).
• The idea of a church age, is heresy because it
implies the church is a parentheses (a temporary
stop gap measure), when in fact the “church age”
began on Pentecost and endures forever.
• The church is the body of Christ. He is the head, we
are the body. Our salvation is in Christ’s body, the
church. The idea that the church will come to an
end, is heresy because our salvation is oneness with
Christ’s body to be consummated at the great
marriage where Christ is the husband and the
church is His bride.
Is The Church An Afterthought?
• The most serious error of the Gap Theory is
that it makes God’s eternal purpose for
salvation in the church null and void. Harold
Camping, for example, taught that the church
age ended in 1988, 40 years after 1948 when
Israel became a nation. He boldly taught until
his date of May 21, 2011 failed, that anyone
who was a member of a church after 1988 but
before May 21 was of the devil, lost and
destined for hell because they did not obey
Camping’s divinely revealed “latter Rain”
inspiration. Camping’s failed date was
judgment not only on a heresy of Latter Rain
theology, but also his gap theory.
Is The Church An Afterthought?
• The difference between the universal
church and the local church is one of
function. You cannot destroy and remove
the local church and retain the universal
church. They are made of Christians.
Camping is so ill informed of the gospel,
that he thinks he can discard the local
church and keep the universal church.
This is heresy.
Is The Church An Afterthought?
• Countless Old Testament prophesies
describe the church. God planned the
church from before creation and was not
an afterthought after the Jews rejected
Jesus as their earthly king. In fact the
church was part of God’s eternal purpose
in Jesus Christ. Notice the church was in
hidden in the mind of God in all ages past
and will exist for all future eternity:
Is The Church An Afterthought?
• “and to bring to light what is the
administration of the mystery which for
ages has been hidden in God who created
all things; so that the manifold wisdom of
God might now be made known through
the church to the rulers and the authorities
in the heavenly places. This was in
accordance with the eternal purpose which
He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, ”
(Ephesians 3:9–11)
God’s Eternal Kingdom- The
Church
• The church will exist after the second coming and
for all eternity. The idea that the church age will
come to an end, and the church will be abolished
like animal sacrifices is a violation of the most
basic concept of the Gospel of Christ. Notice that
God will be glorified in the church for all future
eternity.
• “to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ
Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. ”
(Ephesians 3:21)
• The church is the body of Christ, who is the head
of the church. To suggest the church doesn’t exist
means Christ has lost his “fullness” and is no
longer head of the church.
God’s Eternal Kingdom- The
Church
• “far above all rule and authority and power and
dominion, and every name that is named, not only in
this age but also in the one to come. And He put all
things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as
head over all things to the church, which is His body,
the fullness of Him who fills all in all. ” (Ephesians
1:21–23)
• “He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the
beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He
Himself will come to have first place in everything. ”
(Colossians 1:18)
• The church is the revealed Old Testament mystery
that the prophets of God prophesied about through the
coming kingdom of Isa 2:1-4 and Dan 2:44. In the
church we have both riches and hope. If the church is
extinct we lose our access to the riches of Christ and
hope of salvation.
God’s Eternal Kingdom- The
Church
• “Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and
in my flesh I do my share on behalf of His body,
which is the church, in filling up what is lacking in
Christ’s afflictions. Of this church I was made a
minister according to the stewardship from God
bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might
fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,
that is, the mystery which has been hidden from
the past ages and generations, but has now been
manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to
make known what is the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in
you, the hope of glory. ” (Colossians 1:24–27)
Revelation 7:14Great Tribulation
• Greek word for tribulation- thlipsis- affliction,
persecution.
• The great tribulation is all that the righteous
have endured at the hands of those who
would persecute and trouble. It includes
every type of hardship and trial that
Christians go through or have gone through.
To those in Asia that are written to, it would
include particularly the persecutions of Rome
on them.
False Assumptions Of
Premillenialism
• The kingdom is something different from the
church-Col. 1:13; Rev. 1:6,9- the saved are
in the kingdom now (it is already here-not
future)
• In Daniel 2, Daniel saw 13 kingdoms- in
Daniel 2 Daniel saw 4 earthly kingdoms and
one that was eternal. The final earthly
kingdom was Rome and the image had 10
horns/toes representing the 10
Caesars/kings/rulers- not 10 more kingdoms.
More False Assumptions
• The Israelites never possessed the land God
promised to them and must return to it and
possess it. The Bible Says in Josh. 21:4445- “And the Lord gave them rest round
about, according to all that he sware
unto their fathers: and there stood not
a man of all their enemies before them;
the Lord delivered all their enemies into
their hand.
• 45 There failed not ought of any good
thing which the Lord had spoken unto
the house of Israel; all came to pass
More False Assumptions
• The temple will be rebuilt on the temple mount
site along with animal sacrifice and the Aaronic
priesthood reestablished. The BIBLE SAYS- in
Heb. 8:13- “In that he saith, A new covenant,
he hath made the first old. Now that which
decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish
away.” Gal. 5:3,4 teaches that those who seek
justification from the Old Law are fallen from
grace. Col. 2:14- teaches the Old Law was
taken out of the way and nailed to the cross.
WHY REESTABLISH SOMETHING THAT HAS
ALREADY FULFILLED GOD’S PURPOSE?
Even More Assumptions
• God’s revelation is not complete. New things are
being said to men today (continuous revelation). Men
who have special “illumination from God” reveal things
that are new. THE BIBLE SAYS in Gal 1:8- But though
we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel
unto you than that which we have preached unto you,
let him be accursed.
• 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man
preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have
received, let him be accursed. Also Jude 3- “contend
earnestly for the faith which was once for all
revealed.”
• We do not rely on men to give us more “new
revelation” We have the Bible- God’s word and it is
complete (2 Tim. 3:16,17) and it furnishes us
thoroughly unto all good works.
Assumptions About The
Kingdom
• The Bible says the kingdom was established in
Acts 2 on the day of Pentecost about 33 AD.
This was according to Isa. 2; Dan.2 which
prophesied it would come in the last days.
• Premillenialists say the last days began in 1947
when the Israel became a modern nation.
• The Bible says in Joel 2:28; Acts 2;17;Heb. 1:2
and 1 Pet.1:20 that the last days begin with
the ministry of Christ and continue to His
second coming. The last days is the period
between the first and second coming of Christ.
Assumptions Assumptions!
• The premillenialist says that the coming of the
kingdom was postponed when the Jews rejected
Jesus as King to God’s surprise. They say that
God quickly made up the “church age” to fill the
gap until He could be sure the people were ready
for His kingdom (He would not be mistaken about
their receptiveness again they say). What kind of
God do they worship? A forgetful, flawed,
clueless, naïve God? Why would anyone serve
such a God? If He is capable of errors then what
makes anyone think He will get it right ever?
Jesus said in Mark 1:15 that the kingdom was at
hand and in Mark 9:1 that some who lived then
would not die until they saw it come with power.
Even More Assumptions
• Jesus is not king now and will not be until He
returns. In Acts 2 Peter preaches that Christ reigns
on the throne of David then.
• They also assume that the end will not be until
1007 years after the 2nd coming. The BIBLE SAYS
in 1 Cor. 15:23-26- “But every man in his own
order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are
Christ's at his coming.
• 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have
delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father;
when he shall have put down all rule and all
authority and power.
• 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies
under his feet. The second coming is the end
when all the dead (good and bad) will be raised.
Assumptions Abounding
• Jesus starts His kingdom at His second coming.
The Bible says He gives it up at His second
coming.
• (1 Cor. 15:25-26- “Then cometh the end,
when he shall have delivered up the kingdom
to God, even the Father; when he shall have
put down all rule and all authority and power.
• 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all
enemies under his feet.
• 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is
death.
Another Assumption
• You can observe the times and know when the
Lord will come back. Men with special revelation
set the days and hours when he will return?????
• THE BIBLE SAYS in Matt. 24:36- “but of that day
and hour knoweth no man not even the angels
of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”
• The earth will continue for 1007 years after the
second coming. THE BIBLE SAYS in 2 Pet. 3:10“but the day of the Lord will come as a thief, in
which the heavens shall pass away and the
elements will melt with fervent heat and the
earth and its works will be burned up.”
Two Judgments Assumption
• The Premillenialists say there will be two
judgments (one for the righteous and one for
the wicked 1007 years later).
• The BIBLE SAYS in John 5:28,29- “Marvel not
at this: for the hour is coming, in the which
all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
And shall come forth; they that have done
good, unto the resurrection of life; and they
that have done evil, unto the resurrection of
damnation.”
• The Bible says there will be one judgment
and the righteous and wicked will be raised
at the same moment.
Why We Must Reject
Premillenialism
• It doubts the foreknowledge of God and His
power when they say He did not establish His
kingdom because of the Jews rejection and
went with the church instead.
• It calls Jesus a liar when insisting the
kingdom is a physical, earthly kingdom when
Jesus said plainly- “my kingdom is not of this
world” (Jn. 18:36).
• It denies the truth of the Old Testament
when it says that the land promise is not yet
fulfilled. Josh. 21:43-45 says it was fulfilled.
Why We Must Reject
Premillenialism
• It teaches several resurrections of the dead
when the Bible teaches only one (Jn. 5:28-29).
• It maintains a difference between Jews and
Gentile which God abolished (Gal. 3:26-29;
Eph. 2:11-22 tells us there is no difference
now)
• It belittles the Lord’s church and minimizes its
importance and oneness when they say the
“church age” is the one we are in now and it
was an afterthought of God, not according to
His eternal plan. This violates Eph. 3:10,21
Where Are The Passages That Teach
A “church age” implemented by God when
His first plan for His kingdom failed?
The land promise to Israel has not been
fulfilled?
Christ will return and set up an earthly
kingdom in Jerusalem?
Christ will return in a rapture?
Two resurrections of the dead?
Two judgments?
A thousand year reign on this earth.
Jesus is not king now?
Jesus does not have a kingdom now?
Passages That Must Be Considered
• John 17:4- “I glorified Thee on earth having
accomplished the work Thou hast given me
to do.” Jesus succeeded .
• Jn. 5:28-29; Mt. 25:31-34,41- teach one
resurrection of the dead at the second
coming
• Revelation 1:7- when Jesus returns every eye
will see Him (even those who pierced Him).
Not only the righteous seeing Him first and
then 1007 years later he comes back and the
wicked see Him.
Revelation 20- An Abused Passage
What it does not teach:
The second coming
A bodily resurrection
A reign of Christ on this earth
No literal throne of David
No mention of Jerusalem or Palestine
No mention of us
No mention of Christ on this earth.
1 Thessalonians 4:17
What it does not teach:
Anything about Jesus ever setting foot on
the earth again
Anything about the saints returning to
earth again.
But Premillenialists teach a round trip for
the righteous which is not taught here.
They say the righteous will return to earth
to reign for a short time.
Jeremiah 22:30
• Thus saith the Lord, Write ye this
man childless, a man that shall
not prosper in his days: for no
man of his seed shall prosper,
sitting upon the throne of David,
and ruling any more in Judah.
Jeremiah 22:30
• The significance of this passage is that Jesus
cannot occupy a throne ruling from Judah in
Jerusalem since He is of the tribe of Judah and
lineage of David. If Coniah was the last king to sit
on a throne in Judah there is no way Christ can
ever do that. God says it won’t happen. Christ is
NOW king of kings and Lord of Lords (1 Tim. 6:1316). He is spoken of here as reigning in the
present tense, not future. He reigns over His
spiritual kingdom, the church, now. He will never
reign over an earthly kingdom of Jews on this
earth . Anyone who teaches He will teaches error
